Masq, I absolutely hate that part... the part where no matter what you do or try, the darned scale won't move. But once it does, things start to happen.

Don't give up or get frustrated.
Oh, and speaking of low carb diets... I did the southbeach diet last year. It worked really well. I lost 15 lbs in 2 weeks. The only problem was that I craved so many foods that I couldn't have, that at the end of the two weeks I just went back to eating what I wanted and I think I over indulged to make up for what I had missed out on. I managed to keep about 8 of the lbs off, and probably could have done better if I had stuck to the plan, but it was just torture.
