:lol: does anybody else seem to have a problem with this junk? i have this thing on my home page telling me to chick on it to get rid of it. i know sceem to get me to buy their product. now i can't even get into my pictures or anything like that. i saw on the news last week that the court system is cracking down on this. some people are infecting our computers with spyware then have us buy there product to kill the spyware.

THat's a good scanner... I haven't tried that one though. I just used Ad-Aware. Hey Gry, is that scanner an active one? or passive? I use Pop-up Stopper along with it. For home use, it works pretty good, but if your machine is already heavily screwed up, those nasty malware devils can eat right through your pop-up stopper and still cause problems.

We are currently using spyware search and destroy version1.3 and we downloaded it off of pcworld.com. When you download it it will ask you if you wanna download any new updates so you would pick yes. It has worked better then any other program we had been using, and our computer was pretty heavily screwed up. KRC gave us the site for that one. :lol:

let me get the picture...........

your getting a message pop up on your desktop when your connected saying ''if you want to get rid of this spyware , please download ''certain program''? That sounds like you should download the latest antivirus and sweep your whole system, other than that the only other thing is reformat im afraid kats :lol:

Also kats im sure you've got alot of pics you dont want to lose so first of all try a system restore before you reformat.
