Hi,
I haven't been around GV for a while, I MISS everyone!!!!!!!!!
First I had been having trouble accessing GV, I'm not sure why,
but the major reason has been, I've had a VERY sad loss in my
life. My friend James passed away last Tuesday, he had been
battling lung cancer since August. I just wanted to take some time
to pay tribute to James. Not only has the music world lost a talented
man, who never got the credit he was due (such a shame), but I lost
a friend who was VERY dear to me. James was the kindest, dearest,
sweetest, most down to earth person you could ever know. He had
such a wonderful enthusiastic nature, that made every minute I spent
with him a joy. He was truly a one of a kind individual, I consider it
an honor to have known him.
I will miss you James....thank goodness your music lives on!!!!!!!!!

Thanks everybody for the kind words, it's much appreciated
I love GV and I've missed being here. I miss my dear friend VERY,
VERY much. I hope that his music does live on. He was such a talented
songwriter and had such an incredible voice, and yet somehow he seemed
to always be overshadowed. Now just as he was going to get some new
material out, his life was cut short. That just makes the hurt twice as
painful. I guess that's why I needed to talk about it.
Thanks again for listening, Holly (Lilacgirl)

Nature, drawing and painting, writing, photography, reading. I am learning how to knit...but I'm not very good at it. The list is endless. The one thing that I don't have a big love for is sports. I wish I could like it, but just can't get into it for some reason.

I am so sorry for your loss! It it our loss also..I was always a huge admirer of Bread's music. It was, and still is beautiful. Now, whenever I hear them, their songs will be even more poignant and meaningful. I so loved the song "Everything I Own". That song says it all. James Griffin's musical talent will always be remembered...especially, by me!
Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars, you have a right to be here. And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.Posted Image

Holly,

I know we've talked about this outside of GV, but I have to add my love and sorrow here as well....

The beauty of your music will enable James to live on - Believe that, My Friend.

Holly
