my negative : My dog had to go into an operation today to drain his ear cause the blood goes into it and swells it up ( plus driving in this ridiculous storm was horrid lol) he howled like a wolf and tried to get out the cage, Hubby and I cried leaving the vet cause we didn`t want to leave him there.

my positive: I get to go pick him up tomorrow and make sure he realizes that I never would leave him like that just cause....I love my puppy....and I can`t wait to get him ;)..I have dog treats and I am fluffing up all his beds to make him feel like the prince he is .

Negative... I had to have my mom take me to the ER on Saturday because we couldn't control my blood pressure and I had had a migrane (still do..) for three days.... I couldn't talk or walk and was screaming in pain.

Positive... I was taken seriously and not called a loon... (kinda hard to fake crazy bp and hrs...) and skipped triage (cause triage is for losers... just faint in the lobby... that's what i do (not on purpose...)). got my pain meds... iv was placed in ARM (rather than leg...). And this was my first time to the ER for pain control since Halloween (a record!!!).

My 6 year old is a little me, and the baby will be 5 December. He's about 8-12 months behind, but that smile...that beautiful smile.

Negative: My neighbors got my blood a'boilin!!!

Positive: My Tommy is finally going further & further in his walking!!! Sydney called our dog a bad-name (jack-butt), but thought it was funny when I told her it was a bad word (she has a contagious giggle). My 18 year old told me he loved me & my husband told me he needed me. (1-2-3....awwwwwww)

Positive - My oldest sister who is my closest sister to me, had a second opinion today in Boston about a possible heart blockage. Still more tests to be done, but the cardiologist feels her heart may just be a little bit weakened from a virus. My sister watches her 2 year old grand daughter who has been sick and she catches every cold and virus from her. Her first opinion was from a local hospital that had no clue and really made it sound bad.

Negative - It is 0 degrees outside and a bad wind chill of -25. We have had such strong winds since last night that it ripped a new metal chimney cover off our chimney and taking about 6 bricks that were attached to it. It is all mangled and luckily has a lifetime warrantee even though it did not last long. Best part (not negative) I got to tell my husband "I told you so". He insisted on this chimney cover to be put on and I told him the high winds (as we usually get during the winter) would rip it off.

hi everyone,

today was a really bad day for me :)

positive: I was on such a positive note when I got in to work and then ...

negative 1: IT brought my work PC back only to find that they had deleted all my files some of which I hadn't backed-up! grrr!!!! and then

negative 2: when I thought things were looking up, I was told about some local news in which an old woman was physically and sexually abused. I don't know if its because I've been trying to clear my mind and connect with positive energy but it just got to me and suddenly the pursuit of humanity and the hope and faith and justice just seemed am impossibility and I was hopeless and helpless! and it just made me want to break down and cry.. for some reason this story just sucked all the happiness out of me.. just listening to what had been done to this poor woman was heart breaking.. maybe I'm just a big softie but it just seems that life is so cruel sometimes and its so hard to remain positive when these things happen.

positive 2: a writer friend of mine who is married and a purely platonic friend.. took me to lunch and let me vent... and took my mind off things by talking about poetry...

negative 3: I get home and my lunch buddy calls and tells me he is being harassed for hanging out with me and is being hassled for it but nosy-parkers basically who do not see it possible to have platonic opp-sex friends

negative 4: i have to get up tomorrow and go in2 work to my stoopid PC that is blank and read the newspapers about children under 5 being raped by family members or mothers being raped by their sons, or kicked to death because he was drunk (son) or a young man being sexually assaulted and killed because of his sexuality or some scam that has been unearthed and the atrocities just seem to be snow balling!!! (btw the cases in neagtive 4 are real events that have happened)... sometimes I just wonder what we are teaching our children.. what are mine learning.. what will they pass on when they have children of their own.. and why is humanity heading in this direction of self-loathing, race-hate and such wide-spread abuse..

*sigh* Its just getting to the point where I can go without reading the newspaper for up to two weeks at a time and not watching TV news either... I just watch cartoons or movies.. or log onto GV

Ok I better stop before I take you all down with me... the three people I shared this with today are just as depressed as I am after hearing the story .. and I hope its not infectious...

happy thought. happy thoughts... positive energy of the creator envelope me... cover me.. embrace me... heal me..

:(

~Positive: I was able to open up the windows yesterday & mmmm-mmm, that fresh air smells so dang good! Today will be up in the 70's...oh yes, I'm already planning for my daughters flower garden & all the beautiful flowers I'm going to plant for her!!!

~Negative: I had a Bronchoscopy done & the only bad thing that happened was the nasty stuff the nurse had to sparay in my mouth & throat to numb it!! They did put some awfully nice stuff in my IV so I didn't remember anything...wasn't that nice of them?? But that was it, just the spray. It burned and tasted horrible! The nurse had to do this 2 times...I got sick on the 2nd time around, so she had to put this vacuum hose in my mouth...watch out for the tongue!!! Oowww...oowwww...oowwww!!!!

Positive: My son got some results back from the scratch test and blood work. Turns out he is not allergic to anything at all and his immune difficiency testing was normal.

Negative: We still don't know why he gets sick all the time and he has to go in next week for a sweat test. Need some good vibes sent because I sure hope he doesn't have cystic fibrosis (sp?).

Many good vibes are being sent your way... Can't they send you guys to a genetisicist to test you and your son's father for the CF gene (it's autosomal recessive so both of you would need to have the gene for your gene to have inherited CF...)? IDK... If they've even found the responsible gene yet...

Positive... Cmraposa, prayers are sent out for your son. Sounds like his tests went well and alot of kids are sick all the time, really sick, and it is usually nothing serious. Children pick up everything, and some get really run down (usually this time of year) and it can really effect them physically and mentally. We need better warmer weather here in New England and that will cure all, lol.

Positive....StellaKitty, lol, OMG....your answer was right on, if we did not know you, we would think you have a doctorate degree in medicine already. Hope you are really planning a future in medicine or whatever you choose.

Stella Kitty,

You really need to become a Dr.! fI am amazed at your articulate descriptions and knowledge of the medical field.

Thank you and Ghost Cat for sending good vibes. I am also hoping that we just had a bad year of sickness for him. It just wear me out seeing him sick and makes me heart sick. Pnuemonia three weeks ago, Strep throat last week. Never stops. Sometimes I don't know how his little body can take it. I have been hearing that sickness this year has been constant and terrible for a lot of people and I am hoping that this is the case for Nicholas.

Nope no MD in my future... A PhD in pysh though...

How old is your son? Hopefully if he does have CF if it a milder case. Medical technology has come along ways... Even in just the past couple of years... If there is hope for anyone there is hope for your son. If EVER want to talk to me I'm here... We've been through the whole searching for a diagnosis thing as well... I've been tested for CF, acute intermentit poryphria (spelling... vampire disease... it is believed that one of the king georges had it), pheo tumors (still haven't completely thrown this one out yet... may need to go to NIH).

And if it makes you feel any better about your son being sick alot... I am best friends with the strep queen! I've been friends with this girl since kindergarten (and now she's graduating from High School, so that would be 13 years?). She always is holed up with some bad head cold... She was just getting over Mono and now she's got the flu (which she gets every year...). However this girl would be considered healthy as an ox, I on the otherhand aside from a case of mono, icky sinus stuff, and the appendicitis that set everything off was never sick... I never caught anything from school and I think all through elementry school I missed like maybe 2 weeks total... So how your health is when you are young isn't a good indicator of how everything will be when you are older... Hopefully this is something your son will outgrow although it is possible that he won't... No one will be able to tell you that. All you can do is hope for the best.

I hope that you don't feel that was too patronizing... anyhoo... If you need to get ANYTHING off of your chest or you want to just chat email me... I'm not always the quickest to respond but I am listening (reading)... This goes for everyone on here as well... I'm always here for ANYONE!
Love life.
