This is the time of year I usually see stories where a home owner is redoing their house and when they tear down the old chimney,they find skeletal remains of who knows.. ??? Maybe dear old dad didn't run off with the girl friend :-/

That really would be so sad if all those years you thought your dad left his family for another woman or what ever and then find that he was stuck in the chimney :

You know unless you have a VERY old house you have to be an idiot to try to come up or down a chimney do you know how narrow they are??  My house is over 90 and its still to small to be an escape hatch.  So I think it would be sadder to admit that that's what happend to your dad.

yeah cuz if they were really large openings, animals would climb down into them and pop out into ur living room

the sad thing is that you do see stories like that, but ususally under "stupid criminals" in New of the Weird or articles like that.

Geez I know  : I'v seen that and stupid is mild for some of them...lol

if someones family member died in a chimney - it would smell. fast. you'd know he was up there. and .. he could scream if hes not that hurt. I;ve seen on TV some dumb criminals that tried and got caught. lol
