Well, I got my pictures of the cemetary I mentioned before back.  Granted, I got great shots of the stones and of the large slab in front of the old church.

I am largely disappointed in Rite Aid's developers.  There are scratches on almost all my pictures.  They're small, but everywhere!!!!  Do you guys use the hour photolabs or do you take them to a specialist?

I've checked every picture from corner to corner and saw not a trace of an orb or anything (not that I was expecting them) but I will post a few anyway when I get them scanned so you all can see what was done to this historic cemetery

On to the second reason for the pictures:  The mystery of the large slab of stone in front of the old church.  (I'll post pics of that too)  It seems to be written in 'old style' German, but I will do my best to type what it says:

Hi, Stella, I use Walgreen's and have never been disappointed in their work, you may just want to try a few places and see who's work you like better.

I tried to get the writing on the stone translated online, but I have had no luck.  Soooo... I went into Paint and tried to draw it out...it turned out pretty good.  Here it is:

ok I am still playing with this and I feel that some of the writing may be gone from the stone. I am coming up with Old German Fraktur style writing as a possiblity.

My best suggestion as far as the photo proscessing goes is to keep going to a 1 hour proscessor (they are easier, and at times cheaper)... but don't go back to the one you went  to this time.  Actually, I think you should go back there ONCE... Bring your photos and negatives with you and get your money back.  Then, take your 7 bucks or whatever and go somewhere else next time.  If they damaged your photos, they will give you a refund no problem.

lMackey, how did you get industrial union out of that? Very interesting. Also, the real picture of the stone is on the spiritography board somewhere, maybe you can comment on that! ;D  I think the thread is called something like "cemetary pics"

I think it is 1822-1872 (50 years) If you look closely at the stone on http://www.ghostvill...;num=1072415664

You'll see that the 9 in 1972 looks identical to the 8 in 1822 only missing a small notch.  My guess with all the moss, this notch was filled in with mossy growth.  Disappointing yes, but without seeing it in person to evoluate, my gut feeling says it is 1872.

Oh and how I got industral union I simply typed Deulle e Funngrli Ki rhe Ig 1822-1972 into 2 differnt translation sites and both came up the same.  Here is one of them....
