Anyway, so when I take attachment into consideration, it's always as a theory and never as fact. We just don't know factually why any of this happens, it just does. So I'm guessing that most of what Saffis has is not haunted but just assumed to be so for whatever reason. I would like to have most of his stuff just because it's old, cool, and collectible. And being that he is a collector, I am sometimes surprised that he doesn't know what a particular item is, such as with a very recent show where they found a blood-letting blade from the Civil War and he didn't know what it was (or so he claimed). He's not so much the collector as the title implies, but then again one can't know everything.

I would like to see this show and others like it go away. I have noticed he does not ask to take the offending object any more, he asks the client what they would like to do with it., a bit more P.C., but most likely coached. Everyone wants to be on TV !
Unfortunately, the public sees this junk as the answer to their problems and become victims of unscrupulous groups. It pays to "Investigate The Investigator !!!
Trust No One.

As far as those types of shows going away, as long as there is an audience, I guess they will continue to be pumped out. I don't necessarily want them to go away, but I would like to see them appear less scripted and not so gimmicky. HC does seem coached/rehearsed, so it doesn't necessarily have a 'real" feel, if any of these shows can.
You are definitely correct about investigate the investigator. There is another member on here who has exposed scam investigators before. The example he posted was really interesting, AND he figured out the source of the "haunting". The group was going to charge the client several hundred dollars to do the investigating and cleansing.

However, now that I think about it....it does concern me, lol. If he DOES spiritually cleanse the items, or something similar...then why is that never offered as an option to the owners? Or is it? I've only watched a handful of these shows, and since I do have respect for Zaffis' work, I didn't want to jade my view of him by the presentation of the show, I just stopped watching, lol.

Good point in the latter part of the second paragraph. It's either "keep it" or "take it away", never a cleansing option of the item. Hmm. Hell, I would want to keep whatever was found regardless, so cleanse the mo-fo, or leave it as it is.
I have seen him put salt around a found object being put on display in a couple of episodes. Since I'm not really into the cleansing part of paranormal phenomena, I'm not qualified to really comment but from only a personal point of view.
