Didn't really see that many kilts over there...but they wear them in the Celtic games. Mostly, the guys from Scotland wear them, though. I guess that's just one more reason why the Irish usually laugh at the Scots. That, and bagpipes. But I love the sound of bagpipes, though.

Man, anything to wear a skirt. Oh, well.
I like bagpipes. My youngest has a CD of a particular psuedo-celtic band that he enjoys. They perform a kind of extreme bagpipe sound. Hell, just give me some AC/DC.

I love to listen to bagpipes but being from a Scotish background I suppose I should.
Right this way to my haunted space.

I hope they all play together, instead of randomly different tunes at the same time!
I've been in love with the sounds of bagpipes ever since I was a little boy - I remember that I'd heard them being played off in the distance, and I asked my mother what that sound was. Since then, they always "get me". For example, I still can't listen to "Mull of Kintyre" (by Wings) without getting misty-eyed.

"Free Bird"?! Really?! Man, I love Skynard, but.... Now Mull of Kintyre" I can get into. By coincidence I'm listening to a George Harrison song at the moment (Crackerbox Palace).
A friend's son used to play the pipes for his high school. On the side he performed at a small town shopping area and at the Renaissance Festival near here.
