Imperial Casino Hotel

There is more
This Piano is in the Carton Room
Built in 1878 with Fruitwood, Black Wallnut with mother of pearl inlay
This is the spot where I felt the most well You know.......
Like someone is with you but your all alone.
I was working all alone a couple month ago. Nobody cleaning the casino floor, No hotel guests were upstairs to disturb
It was around 4am I was pecking on the piano keys searching for a tune (I can't play piano BTW )
I found the keys to "kum by ya My lord...kum by ya" (campfire song) and I swear I hear a woman singing softly along and I felt she wanted Me to keep playing , So that is what I did. Playing the same 6 keys over and over again.
It was not spooky at all and was a very pleasent feeling.
After building up My courage all night for the big picture of the staircase were George took the fall
while Getting a clean coffie pot out of the kichen for the hotel guests, I took this picture
Forget it ! Im not going down there

Thanks, I can get any pixel size you would like
RustyBeerCan, that's picture is fantastic! It's just like I remember it Would it be possible to post a copy of it on my website? I'd be more than happy to give you credit for it . . .
Here is one with the flash that shows more detail, But the darker picture looks more like the real thing
cause there is just not very light on the stairs
Laurie Ann: that would be the door that goes into the backstage of theater I think? if one was brave enough to go down there and make a U-turn to the left they would be looking at the doorway out into the alley.
And a couple more photos you may enjoy
the Makins saved money then ever they could and they used these stock certificates of the Anaconda Gold Mining company and canceled checks from the Mary McKinney Mining Company to wallpaper the main entrance into theater.
The Mary McKinney checks cover the wall over the doorway and around the door frames

RustyBeerCan, I don't know about you, but the hair on the back of my neck would stand on end everytime I looked down those stairs. BTW - for those who are curious, the framed photo above the stairs is an antique wedding photo, and it gave me the creeps whenever I looked at it. Oddly enough, the picture was featured on the cover of the Imperial Players 1967 Melodrama program, except the faces of the bride and groom were replaced with those of Wayne and Dorothy Mackin, the owners of the hotel.

I haven't quite put my finger on what's so creepy about that picture, but I guess the first thing that comes to mind is that both the people in it are long dead. I often wondered how the picture came to be there (it's been hanging there for over 40 years now) and who are the people? What's even creepier about it is that it's in sort of a shadow box, and surrounded by dried flowers. Naturally, the dried flowers are dead, and it looks more like a funerary momento than a picture of what should have been a happy occasion. Give me a little time, and I'll see if I can scan the larger picture I have of the photo and post it here.
Also, here's a link to the picture of the outside door to the basement that RustyBeerCan mentioned in his post. It's the one at the bottom of the page:

From the story on earth_spirit's website.
Rich: I'm guesing it's still the same speaker from that night , with the fancy golden wallpaper on it and all ?
Notice it's been chained to the wall
Strange how it missed every thing on it's way down
OK.......here is my thoughts
How could it miss everything below?
Maybe the large magnet In the speaker was pushed or pulled away from the wall when a ghost passed by
the force of attraction or repulsion between two magnetic poles
Are Ghosts magnetic ?
I dont know...now its just another Creepy thing I gotta walk by when Im working the graveyard shift.

A quick clarification, though . . . the Halloween incident happened in 1994, not 2004. If anyone is interested reading about it, just click on the link:
