Sure I have a very large scar down my back where I was scratched, and it goes wiggy when spirits are around.

A ghost can hurt you, but it's rare to be killed.

Theres only one offical case where a gohst killed someone, whats more likely to happen is a malicious spirit might try to choke you, scratch you, etc.

although most ghosts arent trying to hurt anyone...

I think you are probably pretty safe. I've had spirits in my house many times, and I have never been hurt by one. Do you have a ghost in your house?

Whatever it is just don't fear it. Fearing it is where you can go wrong. i know that sounds terribly simple yet complex. I was in a huanted and posessed house for a year. The spirits in my house were really unhappy, and one was malevolent to the point we believe we encountered a demon.

I do go seeking out spirits. So I suppose I should expect to enocounter the malevolent one from time to time. I am not to wooried in general.

I believe that spirits can do minor damage, throwing things, scratching those sorts of things, but I agree that they cannot kill you. I am hoping that you are protecting yourself with some kind of "prayer" if you are experiencing anything like this. Good luck!

I have video footage of a man who was forcibly grabbed. I was standing right next to him and cannot find a logical explanation for it to this day. We're hoping to put it on our website when it's done. Hopefully the guy will give us permission to use the footage because he wants to remain anonymous. So, to answer your question, ghosts can hurt you!

I was hurt by a ghost once, when I did not believe and my friends were doing the ouija when I was a teenager.
They were talking to a ghost named Zachary and he got really upset and slashed a "Z" on the side of my leg.
It was not deep enough to go the the hospital or anything, but it did bleed alot and left a scar for years.

Other than that I have never been hurt. My own nervousness and fears have almost caused me to get hurt, but that was my own fault. I too, have never known a ghost to kill someone. I have heard stories of others getting hurt by ghosts, but nothing very serious.

Yes ghosts can hurt you. I have read about many cases but most of them have never been too serious. The one that surpised me was a ghost hunter (what ever you call a paranormal investegator) was almost pushed down stairs right at the same spot where a girl ghost haunted becuase she commited suicide there. I have not ever read of a case about one killing one but i heard that there is one and somone is making it into a moive.

I could believe it .. maybe if one doesn't hurt you but could give you a helluva heart attack ... so are they the same as poltergiest or not as worst just like that movie poltergeist.

From what I have read, ghosts themselves are simply apparitions and don't really do much more beyond that. Spirits and poltergeists on the other hand, can cause physical movement on objects and reportedly-people as well. I have never been physically harmed but lived with a very malevolent spirit who insisted on letting us know it was around at the most inopportune times.

I lived in an apartment that they would come up through the floor. There was a man that used to stand in my bathroom. He would watch you when you showered. I mean I had stuff coming up from everywhere. There was a spirit in our back bedroom that when you would go to pray for it or have it blessed, would actually do things like burn you with the candles you were praying with. I felt like I was living the movie poltergeist.

A blond man came up through my floor once. He looked exactly like a vampire. I had floating indian heads with the eyes portruding and tongues sticking out. Sometimes I would open the broom closet, and there would be a man hanging in there.....It got so common place nothing scared me anymore until the night I was not allowed to sleep more than two hours. My pots and pans would fly and make noise all night. I am very glad to be moved. I blessed the house 6 times, and then did a major blessing when I left. I told everyone they had to stay there.

I have heard our team leader on an occasion say "ouch" and say that she thought she had just been bitten on her arm. It was the middle of last winter here in Australia and she had a thick sweater on. She pulled up her sleeve and we all watched a welt mark rise up on her skin. It was in fact a scratch that she thought was a bite. This happened apparently on another occasion when I wasnt there.
Yes they can inflick injury. I would say they would be capable of pushing someone down the stairs if they had enough energy and were emotional enough. I and others have also heard team leader say that her leg was being poked and she told the spirit to stop it. When we looked we could see her thigh indenting like invisible fingertips were prodding. She was wearing jeans at the time and I saw this and asked her if it could be a nerve but she is a nurse and said no it wasnt a nerve. It was interesting seeing this.
I have had my toe grabbed when it poked out of these sandal type shoes. The spirit did it twice. The first time I questioned what I felt and slowly pulled my foot back towards me on the chair but then immediately it was grabbed again quite cheekily and unmistakably. Now this felt so real like it was being grabbed that I guess a push could most certainly be a push.
When my toe was grabbed I couldnt feel skin touching skin. I could only feel the sensation of a hand grabbing my toe and the pressure feeling. I could not feel any change in temperature on my toe just the feeling of it being grabbed. I have had my toes grabbed before by a fleshy so immediately knew what was happening that is why I am surprised at myself for doubting it the first time. I think it was because it felt like exactly what was happening that I thought no that cant be....if you know what I mean.
