That would depend on what time you feel you have activity. There is a reason you want to record your room. Have you experienced anything odd? As far as a time, there is no specific time span for activity, regardless of what you hear.

They say alot of activity takes place around 3am...I would try that...can't hurt.

I agree that you need to pick the time when the activity seems to happen the most frequentaly.

I would also pick a time where you have experienced the most activity. Id be careful with 3AM though. I dont believe it but its believed that 3AM is the devils hour as opposed to 3PM which is the time believe that Jesus was crucified. So who knows what you would find. This is just my opinion so.

You might have better luck waiting till you think something is present, rather than recording by what time it is. IMHO
