I'm Scotch-Irish, German, Welsh on dad's side, and ALL Swede on my mom's side.

Though I have yet to verify this on my dad's side, I have traced his ancestors back to 1790, and they were in North Carolina, so I am going on heresay!

German on one side, French on another.  But I'm not even sure which side is which; it's never been very important to me.

On moms side grandpa was 100% German, grandma was half Slovienian, half Coatian.

On dads side grandpa is 100% Croation, grandma's mom was born in Brazil but she's Slovenian, her father was also Slovenian.

But me I'm american I'm not interested in or care about those heritages, genealogy is a diff story.  Besides the fact that Slovenians and Croatians are about the worst nationality and biggest pain in the @$$ of pretty much any other nationality.
I'm trapped in my American Nightmare Running Scared.

It's kind of hard to trace my family roots, as I am adopted by my stepfather, who was also adopted, and never knew my paternal father.  However, according to my mother, I am half Scottish, and half Irish.  I guess that would explain why half of me likes to drink, while the other half hates to pay for it. I'm 100% Poi Dog!

Haole and Native rolled into one.  Too many ethnic groups and tribes to even try list them ;)

I was born on the mainland, but my family relocated to Hawaii when I was young.  To this day, I claim the Islands as my home.

Me: Mexican

However there is a complexity to being Mexican because of the mixture of different ethnic groups.  But here is the breakdown that I have:

Mom's heritage:  Spanish (I have heard rumors that my great-great grandmother was Irish or French or both)
Dad's heritage:  Purepecha/Tarascan Indian (there were other Indian tribes in Mexico besides Aztecs and Mayan)

Mix all that up .... and you get..... me!

Hiya brwneyedwitch1970

There was a group of Irish Nobles and their supporters who fled to Spain during the renaissance. They were known as the Wild Geese. Makes for some wild tempers huh?

That is so cool!  If I may ask, what got you interested in family history?

I'm LdS, so it kinda comes with the territory.
