That is so cool!  If I may ask, what got you interested in family history?

I'm LdS, so it kinda comes with the territory.

Hello and to answer your question Aloha Spirit...it was the death of my Mother in 1999. She graced me with her vast knowledge of her family history but didnt know all of it so...I began to search.

I have recently found a Catholic Nun on the internet who lives in Northern Ontario Canada and it turns out she is the neice of my Great Grandparents. She is over 80 yrs of age and wishes to leave behind the story of her life and family in the event of her death. She was searching for pictures of her Aunt & Uncle (my Great Grandparents) which I was able to supply her with. This brought a smile to her face and mine.

I also have pictures of my Great-Great Grandparents on both my parents sides which I think is unbelieveable. I would post one here but its too large to post.

Oh and by the way...what exactly is LdS???????

I belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  LdS is the current way to abbreviate Latter-day Saint(s).  People still call us Mormon.

The Church operates the world's largest genealogical database (http://www.familysearch.org/)

I didn't lose my mind - I have it backed up on a disk ... somewhere

oooooo! My turn my turn!

I'm 75% scottish, 25 native american (half of the 25% is Cherokee, the other half is blackfoot)

My girlfriend is 100% seminole indian! I always love learning new things about her culture. So far I've learned about scratching, chikees (pronounced chick-EEs. It was a "house" of sorts for native americans), the honka (an evil spirit always out to get you), and why they hate the seminoles in oklahoma... interesting stuff, but if anyone wants to know i'll start a topic on it!

Well, not to tout the power of pure bloods, lol, but me daddy is 100% Chinese, me mum is 100% Chinese, so I guess that makes me...100% Chinese! ;D Actually, most of my family is now interracially mixed with only me and one other cousin able to claim pure Chinese bloodlines, lol, but what I've learned is that on my mother's side, her ancestors were lords in the royal courts of the Ming dynasty, while my da's family happened to be the court jesters' of the realm! Maybe that's the reason why I'm now a funny snob! te he ;D

Mostly Danish with a bit of English and Irish on my mother's side, mostly Welsh and German on my dad's.  Also supposed to have been one Cherokee indian in the mix back about 1820, which created a certain amount of confusion for the relentlessly racist members of the family...
