You looking for rain there? We got lots to spare here! Some parts of the country are flooded because it has been raining for  days now.

So what career did your prodigious (yes, I know, big word) brother get into?

You just send over some of that rain. We can split it between the two spots and have safer amounts in both.

He was a bike messenger, of all things. But he had studied Cherokee herbal medicine for a long time (not a clever way of saying marijuana, I promise ;) )

You mention the M word. If your brother lived here he would have to find a different field of study because our Government is on a drug crackdown for a couple of years now. Your brother would be arrested immediately even if it's just for weed.

It's been raining all day here again. I was talking to a fisherman earlier and they can't even go out to sea because of the bad weather. He actually made a joke about it. He said he doesn't know which is worse: the rains or the Chinese navy ships watching them out at sea.

TGIF peoples!

Nature going wild or other governments' military . . . both sound very bad. Here is hoping both clear up soon so the fishermen can go back out. Though, the fish are pretty happy, no doubt.

Yeah - it was more traditional medicine - tobacco would have been used, but mostly plants and such for healing and some for ritual. We are not a tribe who uses peyote or anything like that.

Heck, I know mom would go for some of that rain for the plants.

Huh. I tend to pick up random herbal medicine tidbits and remember them... Not entirely sure why, but it's definitely interesting and useful. Though, I do want to get a bit more into it and actually keep notes on what-all's good for what.

Life is too short to take seriously, none of us get out of it alive.

Each morning when I open my eyes I say to myself: I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be.Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it.

Well, should humanity face horrific consequences to the changing climate - you'll need those herbal remedies for as long as they will last you.

Started using a classic smartless phone since last evening, feels good, honestly. But I also recognize the fact the "need" of a smart phone in modern days. Going to get a new ne after a few days. For now, I am smartless. :Spaz:

I fully admit to being addicted to my iPhone, but I try to use it for good as much as possible. Have only one game on there I play. It does, though, make it way too easy to shop. That can be bad at times. But instant translations and texting instead of phone calls. All wonderful.

I wish they were better in their production (as in ethical and environmental), but I will admit they are very easy to use. My sister, an artist who also does magazine layout, etc., swears by Macs for computers.

Macs are okay with graphics and video editing stuff, otherwise not for me. It restricts us a lot with the patented and restricted OS environment. Same like Windows.

Linux is freedom and power yay!
