X- have you checked out the Eastern religions? What about Buddism? A great many people who can't seem to find themselves in other mainstream religions find comfort in Buddism. Have you checked it out yet? Even my aethist sister digs Buddism. Or at least the principles of it.

XghstXhntrX-I agree with both Vampchick and Da Hawkies, respect the idea of the Faith, respect those who paractice
it, but keep in mind that Religion is a manmade thing, the dicates of what to believe/how to worship :-/ Experiment, learn what you can of each and choose based on what seems right for you, its even okay to incorporate beliefs from another culture

before getting into ANY religions, be specific on what YOU need!
This is SO true! Nothing should have any bearing on one's religion other than what it means to that person. How others perceive that religion doesn't matter a bit as long as the person who practices that faith finds what they need there.

When you see a faith splintering off it's not only a difference of a particular view point but a political move entrenched in a control issue.

I'm joking, sort of, but I'm a little confused by your post; if you don't already have a religion, why do you think you need to find one?

Visit with people of different religions and gleam those gems that feel right. Your faith will evolve over time and your sense of direction will become more certain.
I didn't lose my mind - I have it backed up on a disk ... somewhere

It's not so bad to not follow any organized religion, but since you are looking for one I agree with what the person said that "one will jump out at you." You will know when it is the right one.
