On Wednesday, October 20, “Spooky Southcoast” will host ParaNight 2010 at the Water Street Café in Fall River, Massachusetts.
Tickets to the event are just $45 per person.
Located just across from historic Battleship Cove, the Water Street Café was originally a print shop when it was built back in 1844. In its more than 150 years of history, the café has accumulated more than its share of ghosts.
The event will begin at 6:45 p.m. and will feature a cocktail hour with cash bar and a meet-and-greet with lecturers and paranormal authors and personalities, and featuring live entertainment; a buffet-style dinner; three presentations on various aspects of the paranormal; and a chance to investigate the haunted Water Street Café. There will also be psychic mediums on hand to provide personal readings and conduct séances (each at an additional cost).
Presenters include Jeff Belanger, creator of Ghostvillage.com and author of many books on the paranormal including The World’s Most Haunted Places, Weird Massachusetts and Our Haunted Lives. Jeff will be discussing the concept of “Legend Tripping,” from his latest work, Picture Yourself Legend Tripping.
Robert Murch, the world’s foremost collector, historian and expert on Ouija and talking boards will discuss the history and impact of those boards, and have numerous examples on hand.
Also, “Spooky Southcoast” host and Ghosts of the SouthCoast author Tim Weisberg will give a general overview of the paranormal and discuss some of the SouthCoast region’s most historic haunts.
In addition, special VIP packages are available that include accommodations at the Lizzie Borden Bed & Breakfast, the most haunted location on the SouthCoast. Packages, which feature admission to ParaNight and occupancy for two, are just $265 for third-floor rooms and $315 for second-floor rooms (subject to availability).
