Agreed. Scooby Doo will probably make for better paranormal entertainment. While the medium on Most Haunted is interesting to watch ( regardless of his accuracy ), the little performances of screams gets old very fast. When something does happen, the camera is always pointed at them freaking out and not around the room. The audience is asked to believe them on blind faith.
Exactly.
Even when I thought the show was genuine, all the "Blair Witching" going on with the cameras drove me insane!
The cameras pointed at themselves was another thing. I'm not tuning in to watch "Most Faces".
If you have all this equipment for a show, put it in rooms, go downstairs and play poker, eventually get your equipment, edit the footage, show us what you found. I'd much rather an investigative report on the location than a funhouse.
However, I do understand this wouldn't make for a very good show: your average person wouldn't watch it.
This is why, when I hear people say, "We're getting our own show!", I think "Good luck with that...please, oh please, don't fake it." Shows like this (and there have been others) present to people that ghost research, is indeed, all about not-crossing-the-streams, Ecto1, and ghost traps.
And ghost research is not taken seriously, and we as researchers, are laughed at........
