Yay! Someone finally had to put that baby to rest because it was going on forever lol. Gooooaaall!

 

Autumnbelle, yeah I know sounds shady isn't it? All I know is the only way we can be of any assistance to him are the options my husband offered him.

 

As for the cousin he was referring to, that's a black sheep cousin I have who was working for me. I offered him the chance to work for me on the condition he get his life all straightened out. His parents actually spoke to me to take him in and give him a chance. I did. I told him that he'd have a clean slate with me, start all over, but if he BAD_WORDed it up, he's done. For a while he sorta became my bodyguard. Eventually, he told me he wanted to go move away and go off to live his own life. I asked him what sort of job he's got lined up because there was no way I was going to let him go if he had nothing. He told me he got involved in a water delivery business.

 

Now whatever our client knew about my cousin, I don't want to know about it. As far as I know the last time I visited my cousin, him and three of his friends pooled their money together and bought into a water delivery franchise.

 

So that's all the dramatics for now. I actually text him told him what happened and asked if he knew our client. He told me didn't. But why does he know about you? I asked. He said that whatever our client knew of him was the past.

 

I'll take his word for it. I believe in second chances.

Wow - you are living an exciting life! Glad it didn't come to more than that strange request. And here is hoping the best for your cousin. Water delivery seems very practical, at least. Hope he holds to that!

Chocolate cake? I have a weird relationship with chocolate. I only look for it when I have cravings but any other time I never even think about it.

 

I don't know if you can connect this to Friday the 13 but a friend and I were talking that day and she was telling me she made an appointment to a doctor for her 2 yr old because he doesn't seem to be conversing as all 2 yr olds do. He seems pretty quiet. I hope it's nothing. Maybe he's just a quiet little guy.

Celebrating in France and all French quarters now, eh?

 

Two? Definitely good to check in with professionals, but no worries yet. Funny story - my brother (who ended up being an actual genius with a creativity I could only dream of having) didn't speak around my grandmother for the longest time. He was about two and a half, and my grandmother was on the phone with one of her friends talking about how she was worried something was wrong with her grandson (he was the only grandchild at the time) because he had not said anything to her his whole visit there. She thought he might be simple in the head. And then he comes up to her, taps her on the leg to get her attention and says, 'Grandmother - please, I require assistance with my shoelaces' (freakishly formal for a kid - I am not exaggerating how he talked). Needless to say, she stuttered a goodbye to her friend and helped him tie his shoes So I hope your friend has a happy result with her child. That can be very scary - but luckly, there are lots of easy explanations.

Autumnbelle, so does your brother still talk formally as that as an adult? I can imagine the expression of your grandma lol.

 

I haven't spoken to my friend so I don't know how the tests went regarding her child.

He did speak a little more formerly than most of his friends his whole life - and definitely thought of things way beyond his years. And yes, my grandmother never worried another moment about his speaking abilities.

 

We're hoping for rain here -- looking at isolated thunderstorms on the weather app.
