Has anyone ever had this happen, where you get sick the night before someone dies?

All my life I have dealt with this. I can make a whole list, with dates, of the times I got sick before someone I admired, loved, or cared for passed away.

The first time I had it I was 9. That night I got really sick to my stomach, my head got this really odd sensation, and this horrible but oddly aaromatic smell that only I smelled. The headache I should describe because it isn't normal. Think of when you spin to make yourself dizzy, when you stop for a second you have this odd sensation right before you get dizzy... that is what it feels like, or close to it. I can never describe it exactly. After this came over me when I was 9 it stayed for about 3-4 hours before I finally was able to just pass out. At the time I didn't know what it was, just thought I got sick from something. Fast forward to the late morning we got a call from my grandmother telling us my grandfather had a heartattack while driving and was in a coma. He died 3 days later.

Happened when my uncle passed. The sickness that night was the worst I had ever had it. Found out the following morning that he was involved in a hit and run during the night. A car hit him in the middle of the road that night when he left a bar, then was hit again by another car. Died on the spot before EMS could get there. I am not sure if the fact I was decently close to him, and it was such a tragic death is what caused the sickness to be the worst ever.

I got sick both nights before my grandmothers passed, tho both nights I got sick it wasn't strong. When they passed we were aware they were going to pass soon, so that probably played a roll?

I also got sick when Princess Diana died. This time though it was only hours before her death (or before it was put on the news- Timing on this one because can be iffy) . I remember that night vividly. My Mom was playing bingo on the computer, when I walked in telling her I was sick. At this time mind you (was only the second time it happend)I still hadn't figured it all out, it was after this one that I started to think it tied into deaths.

I am not sure if I am making more out of it then what it really is, but I have never gotten this illness without someone passing afterwards. I also have never posted this on a message board looking for any sort of answers before, because I get looks as if I am crazy. So I don't know what to make of it, maybe someone else does.

In my case, thankfully no.

Maybe there is some energy you are sensitive to?

That could be, Moonie. Mom and I haven't had this exact bit happen with the family that've let us know they've passed on, but we've had warning.

Life is too short to take seriously, none of us get out of it alive.

Each morning when I open my eyes I say to myself: I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be.Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it.

My Grandmother used to hear three loud pounding knocks in the middle of the night before someone in the family died.

Some people dream of a loved one just before or after they die.

It happens.

It's something like the Bean-sidhe (Banshee).
