Welcome back axlfoley! How's married life? You've got a lot to update us on.

Where do I begin? lol. Life just went by so quick since I returned here from Canada. I never thought I'd be the first one in our Asian Girls Posse to get married. I thought I'd be like jenjen for now-- you know be single and free. Actually, since my return here I've pretty much plunged into running our family business affairs so that takes up a lot of my time.
So being married, yeah, it's great. Michael and I are living with his family temporarily. We bought a house in a subdivision a month before the wedding and it's still being built. It will be ready the first week of August.
I've been very domesticated since the wedding and I'm loving it. It come with getting old lol!

I'm in the backyard right now bbqing some steaks. About 5 pm here, Victoria Day Long weekend. Weather's so nice.

Autumnbelle, were you affected by some of the tornadoes? I saw in CNN that Oklahoma got some. Hope you're all okay.

Axlfoley, have you become a homebody? LOL

Axl - so happy for you. You have definitely 'settled down' but it sounds like you have a wonderful life, and I am so happy for you and Michael!

Balo - the tornadoes have been hitting mostly south of here. We're waiting to hear from a couple friends, and watching the news to find out about some children trapped in a school. Terrifying, but the news gets a little better - hope it keeps that way!

Hope you all are safe and well and having a wonderful day!

Autumnbelle, I hope you're okay since your last post because I heard in the news this morning about the tornadoes destroying the schools and about the deaths.

Very sad stuff. At least we had a break in the weather today --- we got rain, but I don't think we got any of the hail they were predicting. That would make rescue and recovery efforts even more dangerous.

Great to hear you're safe 'belle! Even all the way in this part of the world they showed the tornado tragedy there in Oklahoma in the local news. Is the place that got hit near you?

balo, Victoria Day long weekend was always a very exciting Long Weekend when I was there because it meant summer is coming and we got through another winter.

Sounds like the priorities are where they need to be. That's not me being sarcastic. I think celebrations and special occasions help remind us the reasons we are here. Yes, work is very important - but I don't think it should be the most important thing for every one. People should work at what they can but they should also enjoy life and share that joy with others. I would not have made a very good Puritan founder of this nation - but I would have fit right in with the 'Founding Fathers'. :)
