I really want to see that and Black Panther. May see Black Panther with mom on Monday, because holy balls, it looks interesting as heck, and I've unintentionally turned mom into an MCU fan.

Going to be working this weekend. Thankfully, it's all overtime, so it'll add up to a decent paycheck. Just hoping the plans with mom pan out. We're looking at doing the earliest showing we can, since she doesn't like driving in the dark much. Can't really blame her much, since our block's lighting sucks balls. Most of downtown is good, but the sidestreets past the first block or two away from the main streets kinda suck.

A busy Moonie is a happy Moonie?

And LG - is there an action line or community council or something to call about the lighting?

Taking deep breaths around here . . . trying to figure out what to do for my own little part in making the world a better place and this country a little safer. Odd times.

Belle- Closest I could probably think of is the East Side Neighbors group in my town, but I'm usually working when they have their meetings. Could ask mom to go and raise the issue at one of the meetings, citing that I usually ride my bike home when the weather's decent and don't feel safe unless I have a butt-ton of lights going on the bike/have a lighted hat on.

Went to watch Black Panther with mom, and OMG, it was completely amazeballs!!!!!!! From the costume design, to sets, to the actions scenes!!! Totally worth the $18 or so we spent on admission. I'd totally go see it again. Heck, I want to get the sound track and that usually doesn't happen for me. Heck, even Andy Serkis' performance was freakin' amazing!!!!!

Yay! Glad the movie is great - because the coverage has been, and lots of really real 'feel good' stories have come out about it. Gonna check it out as soon as possible. Probably not before you see it a second time, but ya know :)

Oh trust me, it's worth every bit of hype that's come out. Mom wants to see Peter Rabbit next time we go to the movies, and that looks good as well. May revisit Black Panther  after that, because it's just that darned good. I know I want to, not just for the actors' performances, but just to pick up on more of the costumes and set design. Heck, even the jewelry was effing awesome! I could easily get more ideas for my own work.

Please give a Peter Rabbit review as well. The only thing I have really read is some folks are up in arms about food allergies.

Almost the weekend! And the roads are going to be thawed enough tomorrow for me to run errands and go to work!

Hope you all have more exciting plans than that ;)

Well, most of my plans involve work, so... Thankfully, I get off work at 10pm on Saturday instead of midnight, so I'm more than happy to have a couple extra hours to decompress.

I certainly will. I'm hoping I have March first off, because mom has a doctors appointment over in Enola, and that's easily a 90 minute round trip for us, since she doesn't like driving on the interstate. And god help us if traffic on Route 11 is horrid. If I do, I'm planning on taking mom to the movies after. Not sure if I'll take her Monday as well. Either way, Peter Rabbit'll be seen one of those days. Just hope my GM doesn't schedule me for 9-10 hour shifts the rest of the week.

I usually am, but the 4-midnight shifts are starting to really take their toll. It's been taking longer to wind down when I come home from work, and I'll be ok, retail personality wise at the beginning of my shift, but it'll slowly wear off during dinner rush, quicker if we're really in the weeds, like we're starting to be on Thursdays. Heck, it's getting to be that our dinner rush on Thursdays is more what our Friday dinner rushes used to be. Wound up having my GM stay til a bit after 9PM last night (this past shift as I'm typing this.) and she actually wound up telling me to go take a break and eat something, so I guess she could see some of the anxiety starting to pop up. Or the fact I was probably a bit Hangry, and grumping at guests where they couldn't hear me. Doesn't help we'd had a couple earlier in the evening kvetch at me for running/getting orders together before getting to them. Never fegging mind that I'd told them that I'd be right with them, there were other fecking customers in the dining room and drive through waiting on food, and I was helping keep the flow going for my coworkers. Really freakin' got me in a grumpyish mood. Would've liked to have been able to give them a NYC-accented piece of my mind, but I need the job atm. I'm honestly at the point where I need to get over the anxiety and look for another job, that hopefully isn't as stressful that can work around me needing Mondays and random days off to help mom out. Probably going to have to opt for morning to mid afternoon availability, just to be able to help her out more other than just Mondays.
