I'm looking for the longest lasting battery that I can purchase for my Sony Handycams.
I found a NPFH-100 Rechargeable Camcorder Battery for Sony NP-FH100 H Series
InfoLithium Battery 4500mAh but no one can tell me approximately how long this
battery will last. I realize battery life depends on how you use the camera. Just looking
for a ball park figure.
Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Mike

Sony quotes 10 hours of recording time. Mind you, this is straight time, not turning on, off as most of us do. My experience with Sony batteries is you will get 90% of the quoted record time, and about 60% if you use night shot.

It also depends on what type of recording media your camcorder is using. It takes more battery power to burn to a mini DVD, or drive the motor of a mini DV tape or disc drive than it does if you are recording to a Memory Stick.
I get about 5 hours of constant recording using a NP-FH100 recording to a Memory Stick in my Sony DCR-DVD610.
