I guess it all depends on what is going on. . .  When I want him to do something like take out the trash, I call him sweetie.  If I am whining for ice cream or french fries, I call him honnney.  Any other time it is usually babe.

Now see, I can take endearments that are foods, before I can take anything that ends with "-kins". Makes me shudder.

And, every once in a GREAT while I'll say "babe". The term "baby" makes me shiver in a not-so-good way, especially coming from a man... I don't know why... perhaps it's a psychological thing.

Ana

Ana, a lot of women feel that way, that its demeaning, that their fragile or in some way unable to take care of themselves

Shellas, awwww...I think Poohbear's cute

Anktha-I never would have pegged you for a 'kins' kinda guy ;)

When I am in trouble and being put in my place, or proven wrong, it is usually "yes Dear"

When it is time to say goodnight, and I want her to know how much she means to me, I use "my precious angel".  Some may think it is sappy, but it holds special significance.

hehehe! Anasuya....  he does it on purpose becuase I gave him grief about it awhile ago, hehehe!  I just smile every time I see him post my handle ;)

yeah, the wife likes the "kins" thing.  We like to string at least 4 words together most of the time, when getting silly.

Hey, Ana and Akthra<HA!>It is TOTALLY inadvertant, no, the sad thing is it is, before I post I never check the spelling of our boy's name...okay, the time I used Ankthy was intentional, but that's different ;D Besides, I'm waiting to see if Akthra will start a thread in Drop Zone about it ;) "HOOPER! MY NAME IS HOOPER, NOT COOPER!" if any of your kids were into Sesame St.

Hi, Sakura, I think Boo's cute as heck. I thought Pooka 'cause she was mischievious*like the shape shifting Faery in Celtic folklore*but thank you for that very graphic image, Hun ;)

Hey, Justa...Oh, nonononono...if its the same person I'm thinking of DUDE...you know how much she gloats when you admit she's right :;) but I think precious angel is beautiful

After you've been married awhile and you realize you're in bed with a relative, you tend to go for the tried and true:  Honey, sug, Sweetie.  If I away from home and getting homesick it back to WeeYum-his name is William.
