When I was a child visiting my relatives at St. Mary's this headstone, which is not far from theirs, always creeped me out.

Absolutely super thread here Logan! Thanks for posting these wonderful snaps.
I think I have some shots of the Christ's Church cemetary in Philly around somewhere. Ben Franklin is buried there. It is terribly picturesque. If you like I will dig'em out & post 'em.

Ok As promised, here are my vacation snaps of Christ CHurch Cemetary In Phillidelphia, Pennsylvania, U.S.A.
These first three are The grave of the great Benjamin Franklin. You may notice a lot of pennies all over the grave. That is because it is custom for newly wedded couples to throw a penny on his grave. If it lands heads up, it is said to bring the couple good fortune in their life together. Honestly, Ihave know idea how these things get started.
These shots are just various sights in the rest of the cemetary. It is very old for an american cemetary, and full of interesting markers and vaults.

I'm trying to label the gifts I have, although I try to keep them a secret from my husband..he wouldn't understand. My 20 year old is now living on his own and does so great! My 6 year old is a little me, and the baby will be 5 December. He's about 8-12 months behind, but that smile...that beautiful smile.

Ever since I saw the movie The Others and saw the Death book and the pictures inside, I never knew anything like that really exhisted and thought I was beyond morbid for thinking that kind of stuff was interesting...but it truly is and I don't know why. The only thing that bothers me are the pictures of the children. Other than that though, I just love looking at these kind of things and glad I took a moment to check outthis post. I am going to have to make another trip up to the Getty Villa. They have some Roman Era Egyptian Death Masks that I need to get a photo of. I only have one and its blurry.
