I this Hall they say that it may be haunted by the spirit of an artist. That artist started a painting that hangs in the Hall, the painting was never finished due to the artists death. They seem to think that he hangs around the hall because he never finish the work and can't leave until it is finished.

My question...Has anybody ever tried to put some paint and a brush in front of the unfinished painting to see what might happen? Maybe the artist could finish the painting in some form and move on.

nope. Can't say as we've ever tried a brush, however, on countless occasions the beer spill on the table has taken on strange and roundabout forms.. almost as though you were to drag your finger through it in attempt to draw (they mostly looked liked hills with some sort of forground.. sorry this is all I've got on that. I was witness to an elderly gentleman coming down the upstairs stairs as I was headed to the upststairs once whilest under the influence of the billy's necture. I was ignored by barstaff, but the upstairs was vacant and this gentleman left no clanging doors in his wake.. your conclusions.
