my girlfriend rachael and i went up to the bridge the other night, well after dark, and just sat and chatted for a while, as has become our custom... when i decided to get up and snap a few random pictures (also a custom now) and in the flash of the camera i was shocked to find that i was standing in the middle of a huge pentagram... we hadn't used our flashlights yet at this point, so we turned them on and found that we were literally surrounded by spray painted symbols and general graffitti... at first we thought that some cultists or something had been up to no good but when we found drug references and white power references, we were actually almost releaved to find that it was the work of your everyday hooligans... but, it's still a shame that people have to ruin a historical area like that.. just for fun...

Vandalism anywhere is a very childish act...I see no purpose of it, and when it affects historical areas, places where people go to learn and remember it burns me up. My parents took us to Gettysburgh when I was 6 and my brother 2, they wouldve just loved stumbling on this bit of artwork with us.

I agree masquarade....vandalism IS childish. If people want to express themselves, then they need to go to an art store and get a canvas and some paints and express themselves that way, instead of defacing some historical piece of work. Other people come to enjoy places such as that bridge, and stupid people who vandalize just ruin it for them. It's a shame......
