I've noticed once again a shadow just outside our lunch room. I noticed it a few times but never thought anything of it. I have found out that the locker room was the morgue when this was a hospital. That could explain why voices are heard in this hallway more than the others.

Oh man, WW, I wish I coudl experience that. Actually, we have had some experiences in our house over the weekend, mostly footsteps on the stairs on two separate occasions. It was very interesting.

The locker room I mentioned is above our lunch room.

Maybe it's ghosts checking out what you guys are having for lunch.
The old building where I used to work had a mortuary on that site, if not in the actual building. I bet that's why it had so much activity. That would seem to be the case for your building/lunch room.

Oh we had many men and women I'm sure through the doors of this place. I believe the last vets to leave this building were in the late 90's, I'll have to double check with that. Seen one earlier this week. Funny thing is a girl from HR was in the hall and turned to say sorry then noticed no one there. Needless to say she went quickly back into their office.

LOL! Well, I guess you are in a very good place to experience the paranormal, whether it's on your own or through others. I'm sure observing their reactions is a kick.

Sound interesting and the spirits sound harmless. Though have you considered helping them pass on?

That is the first time I have seen someone react like that. Although I've seen her since then I haven't said anything. I think the spirits that are here are content where they are. None seem to want help to cross over.

That's probably true, WW. I'm reading a book by Brad Steiger titled "Real Ghost Stories". One of the theories posed is through accounts of deceased loved ones coming back to tell living loved ones how things are on the other side. Some spirits are portrayed as wanting to stay in the "material" world and content with not moving on, or lack the desire to make the move. Another proposition is that it's an alternate or paralle dimension of the exact moment. However it exists, as long as no one is harmed, then there is nothing wrong with the situation. As it is, we in this realm seem to be of the thinking that all spirits are suppposed to move into the light, cross over, or go to the next level. Since we know nothing of how or why anything in the after-life works, we should just let it be unless the spirit is violent, harmful, etc. Then the human-created banishing rituals can be utilized.

I am comfortable with the spirits here and will be wishing them a Merry Christmas Monday morning before we leave at noon. I feel this building is now a part of me. I love the old place.

That is really cool of you, WW. That's how I felt when I worked in the county archive. I wish I had wished the spirits a merry Christmas when I worked in that old building.

Well I got a recorder for Christmas but of course forgot it today. I'll have to remember to put it in my purse tonight for tomorrow. The building is so quiet this is a perfect time for EVPs.

Extremely famous russian song:

Everything is not right? Why? It looks as the same:
Sky above, is as blue as it always,
Same is forest, the river, and also the air
But he hasn't returned from the combat

I can't now get straight, who was true there from us
In disputes without sleeping and repose.
It became not to snatch him only, today,
When he has not come back from the combat.

He kept silence out of place and not in tact joined in song,
Always talking a different matter
He didn't let me to sleep, he got up with the sun,
But yesterday didn't return from the combat.

That, it's emptily now, not a matter for talk
We were two- only now I noticed,
As a wind blew out bonfire for me,
When he hasn't returned from combat.

Teared away as from captivity spring,
By mistake I desided to hail him:
"Pal, leave something to smoke",- only silence in response,
Yesterday he remained in the battle.

Those who died won't leave us in trouble,
Our fallen - as guardians are standing...
Sky reflects in the forest, as in the water,
In the azure the trees are all painted.

In dug-out for us there was place quite enough,
Time was flowing for us just for both...
Everything now for one, but it's going to seem,
That it's me who haven't returned.

"He did't return from the battle" by V. Vysotsky
In ghost we trust!

Thank you for posting that song. Well I did my first EVPs. There is only one that I think I might hear something but I'm not 100%. I did one on the 6th and three on the 5th. It's on the 5th in the hall I didn't think anything would come from that I might have something. I need to upload the program for the recorder to my lap top.

I'm BAAAA-aaaack!
Hi, WW; hope you had a wonderful Christmas and New Year.
Well, even if you aren't sure, just keep trying. I need to download a recording analyzing program that a friend, who runs a ghost touring side business, tol me to download. It's supposed to be free. I forgot the name, but I have it on the recording we made on the ghost tour of Galveston we went on last month.
