Hello,

I am trying to find more information about a village in Cambridgeshire, UK that I currently live in and believe to be haunted.  If anyone might have some experience or knowledge of the area, could you please contact me here or personally?

Thank you!

Brianne

Here is some more info:

THE KNOCKING GHOST, SAWTON HALL, CAMBRIDGESHIRE COUNTY, ENGLAND-33 DEGREE
Category:(Hauntings) Created:(6/17/2003 7:16:00 AM) Viewed (245 times)
At Swanson Hall, an unidentified Gray Lady haunts the hall and knocks three times at the front door whenever she appears. The ghost of Mary, Queen of Scots, appears in the Tapestry Room, where the sound of a non-existent spinet piano being played by someone is heard. Followers of Lady Jane Gray burned the house down after, Mary, Queen of Scots, stayed there while visiting. However the gracious queen had the house rebuilt at her own expense.International Source,p.18. 33 DEGREE

Here is another link for you:

Seems like the BBC had a show as well on this area but I was unable to pull it up. You seem to live in a fairly haunted area, happy hunting!  ;D

Wow, that was quick!

Thanks for all the links, I will be sure to check them out when I'm not working!  I really appreciate it!

The specific village I'm looking at is Sawtry and I've done some checks online myself and have only come up with two pictures online but no information.  And I in contacting the groups, I've had no luck in responses.  But if anyone has a personal knowledge of Sawtry, please let me know.  I've did a little bit of talking with my neighbors but all it did was make them think I was strange.  So I don't talk about it here much now.  I don't normally talk about any of this anyway but recently my husband has told me to.  I think he's sick of me!  :)

Thanks again for the quick response and the help!

Sincerely,
Brianne

No problem, I enjoy helping I have a very, very fast internet connection at work so it only takes me seconds to look up information.  ;D

I believe one of the links I posted has the village you mentioned.

Yup, I know that one.  I tried to find out more about it but couldn't.  I found Sawston in the other links, but not Sawtry.  However, I did find references to a few other experiences I've had.  It's nice to know that you aren't crazy every now and again and that other people see these things too!

Thanks again,
Brianne

Hello I used to live in Sawtry until a couple of years ago. I lived there for 30 years and used to go blackberrying in fields where the shops are now currently built. What is it that you would like to know and I will see if I can help you.
