Many years ago, stories would get blown out of proportion in the telling as they passed from person to person, with details either being left out, or enhanced. As technology advanced, so did the ability of these stories to travel further, and faster, with each person being able to add their own twist to the story in a much easier fashion. Whether it’s by direct conversation, telephone, email, or stumbling upon it searching for something on the internet, most of us have come across some type of story that although it sounded plausible, there was something about it that just made it too unbelievable.
