I just wanted to let all my friends on here know that I have lost my baby brother. He took his own life 2 months ago and he will be missed more terribly than anyone can possibly imagine. We found him the day my husband deployed to the war. I just wanted to share because it is helpful for me to speak about it now...please keep Carl's spirit in your prayers. I want to be able to see him again.

So sorry for your loss - and that he felt he needed to take his life. Sounds like you have a lot to deal with - may your husband return to you safe and sound!

So sorry for your loss, hon. Suicide is a tough one. My older brother did 20 years ago. Hang in there, and talk it through, with friends, family, or a counsellor if you need. Take care of yourself.

Thank you all so very much for your kind words. It is truly wonderful. It is so very hard - and since my husband is deployed, there is hardly anyone for me to talk to. I appreciate you letting me vent a little on this site. It helps.

Life is too short to take seriously, none of us get out of it alive.

Each morning when I open my eyes I say to myself: I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be.Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it.
