What is your favourite haunted house movie? I loved The Legend of Hell House, The House on Haunted Hill and The Amityville Horror.

I have to go with The Amityville Horror. I love the original and the remake.

I'm with Kats on Amityville. Both were pretty freaky. And I'm going to throw IT in the ring as well. Pennywise just freaked me out all to heck.

Each morning when I open my eyes I say to myself: I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be.Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it.

Great choice! I loved The Haunting too. Very creepy, atmospheric movie. I enjoyed the book (The Haunting of Hill House) too by Shirley Jackson

I agree. I love The Haunting too. Novel is equally fantastic.

I am very excited to now own both The Haunting and The Legend of Hell House on Blu Ray. Two of my favourite haunted house movies.

Another good haunted house movie I can highly recommend is SECRETS IN THE WALLS starring Jeri Ryan.

After personally witnessing real-life possessions and hauntings I tend to shy away from demonic movies. The Others, Sixth Sense. and The Messengers are more my style (although I immensely enjoyed What Lies Beneath).

I don't blame you. Any case of possible demonic possession totally freaks me out.
