Awww - that's a good day. How is it spent? With family? Thinking of family?

No Inuits - no arctic plant life :) It warmed up enough we were making Sasquatch sighting comments rather than the Abominable Snowman!

You got it Autumnbelle. It's a new holiday less than 5 yrs old I think. Yes, it's a day meant for families to spend time together.

That's a little sad now that I think of it ---- that there has to be a special day set aside for it. But best to get that in people's minds.

A two day National strike here in India. On one side that is a good thing, I can be at home, take rest, on the other, it is downright boring!

Autumnbelle- the political party who passed the Family Day holiday did it because at that time it was an election year and that was one of their promises to gain more support : propose a new holiday. They did and they won the election.

Moonie-- I'd take any day off. I would welcome the boredom LOL. Why is there a strike?

Axlfoley-- Evan will do just fine lol!

Balo-- camping is okay. Autumnbelle, what I remember from the camping trips we've had as a family was the amount of fishing we did. We'd have a huge fish fry. Mind you, we'd go as one big group, like 3 to 4 families joining up. Those were fun and axlfoley was with us on a few of these camping trips.

jenjen - hello there! Good to see ya back!

Balo - this is a strike called by ALL The trade unions against the recent policy changes by the stupid government, which has resulted in massive price hikes, the salary remains the same though! Business are affected adversely as well.

jenjen-- all that fish talk has made me hungry LOL.

Moonie-- I hope it doesn't get violent. Governments are like that though? Instead of finding a long term solution, they go for the quick, easy fix...raise everything and get the money from there.

I kept myself in today, yes there are violence reported, but nothing serious I assume. Especially since this is a nationwide strike and the elections are nearing, that means we can expect more violence. Have to wait for the newspaper, I keep myself away from the TV usually. 24 more hours to go.

Stay Safe bro Moonie!!

jenjen, I remember those trips. There was no way any wildlife was going to be snooping around the campsite because of the number of people we had lol. I'm still wondering how we always managed to catch a lot of fish each time.

Balo, that's mean. How could you even think of using Nacho as some sort of negotiation bait?

What negotiation bait? We'd give her away for free and take our chances that the other side won't get violent LOL.
