I wouldn't touch a Ouija board with a bloody barge pole! Have heard too many bad experiences about these hellish things.

Those who are contemplating dabbling in these sinister contraptions, a word of advice: stay well away.

There have been several posts/threads warning against these - but somehow, people still think - oh, how could this be real? Surely it's just a game. And then either absolutely nothing happens (thank goodness) or dark things ensue.

I can imagine. As I say, these things are not to be tampered with willy nilly. My mum and her workmates used to mess around with one (using a tumbler and a circle of cutout letters) way back in the 60s, after she had clocked off in the winter nights, and the canteen was all dark and quiet. Needless to say, she experienced enough creepy things to put her off messing with "Willy The Weejie" (as she and her workmates christened it) for life..

The Exorcist is enough to put one off messing around with a Ouija board too!

For the skeptics out there...game or not...I wouldn't touch one just to be safe. If you do open a doorway to God knows where...who knows what's really coming though from the other side.

Like I mentioned in other threads, you are inviting an unknown entity.

I didn't lose my mind - I have it backed up on a disk ... somewhere

Like I mentioned in other threads, you are inviting an unknown entity.

Yes, you are basically leaving your front door open with a big flashing neon sign over it that says "Come on In!".

You get all the low vibration entities coming through like you would in real life.

Not something you would ever want to do if you are of sound mind and body.

The sad thing is...no matter how much we earn people and talk about the dangers of using these boards...they are still going to use them because they think it's a game.

I take the other view; I do not fear them nor do I use them.  Not because of any concern about anything happening; instead it is my non-belief that keeps anything from happening.  If that seems a bit confusing, consider it is not the board that has any power but one's own belief that gives it its power over the one using it.  Since I don't believe that a piece of wood and plastic has any power I don't worry about them.  I would use one as a game if someone wanted, but as for something to actually accomplish communication I don't see evidence they work. Thus as a tool they are useless.

In fact, a few years ago I was contacted by a lady who was very concerned about one she had.  She asked how to get rid of it and was told so many different things she had no clue what to do or where to turn.  All she knew was she had to do it just right or spirits or demons might linger behind.  She asked a family member if they would get rid of it and they told her not to throw it away without the proper protection.  She asked what I would charge to get rid of it for her.  I told her just toss it out, but she said she could not do that.  I finally relented and told her send it to me and I would get rid of it, no charge.    She sent it and I saw it was well worn and not worth anything as a collectable. So I just threw it out in my trash.  Can you guess what happened after that????  Nothing.  Garbage man picked up my trash that week and that was it. End of story.
