And as fate would have it, I'll be nearby in Estes Park on that date , so I'm planning to attend. It looks like I'll be the official Ghostvillage representative at the service, but if any other villagers will be there, please let me know so we can introduce ourselves.
Here's a link to her memorial page on Facebook if no one has posted it yet:

So just send a Friend request to Alexa Simmons on Facebook and her mother will see to it that you're added. Her family will be posting updates as things progress.

2-3 days ago I came back to GV and read this unbelievable sorrowful thing and couldn't post. I just cried.

I don't know if I'll be asked to speak at the service, but I'm sure the opportunity will be there. If anyone has any anecdotes or other stories they'd like for me to mention, please let me know. You may or may not have access to Private Messaging on GV, so I can be contacted at ourplace_fcn@yahoo.com if you have anything you'd like to pass along to either myself or Alexa's family.
Also, if anyone would like to send a sympathy card, contact me at the above address, and I'll send you the mailing address. It's also listed on the FB memorial page, but the font is so small in the picture that it's difficult to read.
The memorial service is being held at what looks to be an incredibly beautiful cemetery in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, so take a few minutes to view their website if you get a chance. It's probably the "coolest" cemetery I've ever seen--if a cemetery can be considered "cool," that is!

I've been speaking publicly in many capacities over the years, but this is the first time I've ever had to speak at a memorial service, so help me out, Ghostvillagers! I want this to be a celebration of Alexa's life, not some tear-fest. I can assure you,, though, that I will have a tissue handy. I just want the room to be laughing while we're wiping our eyes!
