i've visited norwich numerous times, and yes, security is stepping up more and more.  It is a great place to photograph during the day, and there are many strange things that happen at night.  when walking the tunnels, the floor ahead of us would move as if someone was walking on it, but no one was there.  i am planning another visit and was wondering if anyone had access to a map of the tunnels, there used to be one on a message board, but i can no longer find it.  it gets pretty confusing down there, so any help would be great.  they are planning to build upon it, so the chances of seeing the site are going down everyday.

As far as I know, Norwich has been sold and is going to be turned into some sort of park called Utopia. I saw a little ditty on the news last night, but I didn't catch the whole bit.

yea, it's getting closer and closer to getting built upon so thats why i want to get down there one more time and do it right. like i said, i really need a map because of how complicated the tunnels are, any help would be great. what a shame to tear down such a beautiful place.

to racheyrach: I've been in the Asylum in Newington. The room with the light on is a room surrounded by blue tiles. For some reason this light is always on in this room. Next to that room is where they have all the old hospital beds and such. Pretty Interesting place. Let me give u some info for next time u go.

Dont Jump the fence, theres a hole in it, look for it. What seems to be freezers to hold bodies is in the basement is on the north side, you cant really miss it, it's at the end of the hall, past the old washers and dryers. In the room with the light on there is what seems to be blood stains on the wall, probably recent, maybe a prank. On the third floor there is a room with a tipped over ladder and an old chair. Thats the best place to sit and hopefully record EVPs or what ever. Also the elevator is stopped on the 3rd floor with the doors open. If you want more info on the old asylum in Newington Email me @ zerogroundz@gmail.com. I will be making or receiving blueprints of the asylum also if anyone wants a copy.

And in response to impy: Im going to be posting pictures and maybe videos as soon as i get them on the computer of our trip to the asylum in newington. We had two video cameras running, one with "night shot" and the other without. And hopefully after my friends come back from the asylum tonight i will have more pictures to show ;)

The outside of the building.

The blood stain i mentioned.

Creepy old hospital beds. :purplebounce:

One of the hallways in the basement.

More pics coming, and video. I would submit the audio from my the visit we just took because I just realized that something we heard above us was actually a door closing hard, didnt realize it at the time though, and you can hardly hear the slam on the tape anyways . :headbang:

(I will fix image problems later)

Great pictures, I love that last one. I always think the basements in places like this are the eeriest.

Yea I like that last picture too. That room in the basement is very humid and warm. The steam is still on in the building which explains it, but that room is pretty far away from the room where the steam originates from ... must be a pipe leaking or something. You can see drops of water on the ceiling, and where the photo was taken, if you look up and to your right, theres always a cloud of steam hovering there.

"green is suicide" and I went tonite with a few friends. Nothing really happened for us. But my friend and I had to leave early, leaving "green is suicide" and 2 of her friends there alone. She can tell you her story. All that happened was a few noises here and there.
