I would like to first of all thank everybody for your help in listing all of the places that we have in Haunted Locations, and look forward to seeing many more.

For those of you who are thinking of visiting any of the locations listed, please take heed of those that have No Trespassing signs posted. These signs are posted for a variety of reasons.

First off, this is somebody's private property. For reasons known only to them, they have asked that people not come onto their property uninvited. You've probably heard of the saying, do unto others... Well, imagine what it would be like with people trekking across your yard at all hours of the day, taking pictures, talking, and standing around, without your permission. On top of this, add in the litter that they would leave, along with having to repair and replace anything that they may have moved or damaged to get to what they wanted.

Another reason for the No Trespassing signs is for the safety of you, the visitor and to protect the owner from a lawsuit should you be injured while on their property. There may be many hidden dangers that you won't see in the dark. There may be the threat of falling debris from old buildings. There may be a hidden well somewhere. The list is endless.

At Ghostvillage, we try to provide as much information as possible on how to safely and effectively conduct Paranormal investigations. We ask that you do so while staying within the law. We do not condone Trespassing at all, and having an attitude such as "It's only Trespassing if you get caught" not only shows disrespect for other peoples property and possessions, but also a disregard for safety.

Enjoy your paranormal investigations, but do so legally. If there are No Trespassing signs posted, contact the owner, tell them what you are after, and ask for permission. They may even be able to provide you with some history of the area, and possibly even a guided tour of the best places for positive findings. There are enough areas that are open to the public, and enough owners who are willing to allow you on their property if you seek permission first, that you should never have to trespass.
