Bigfoot in Malaysia might sound a bit farfetched, but look at how many cultures have similar legends. A quick Google search turns up sightings in Russia, China, England, Nepal and much of the United States. I'm sure other villagers can think of many more places.

Remember how Jimmy Carter received so much criticism when he told the media he'd seen a UFO? Well guess what? Jimmy wasn't the only US president to have a brush with the unknown. It seems that Theodore Roosevelt had an encounter with a Bigfoot-like creature the Indians called Windingo when he was a young man riding the range out in the Wild West. You can read about it in his book The Wilderness Hunter.

OK, spooks, now that you've tossed out that little tidbit about Clynt's meeting with Bigfoot, we want to hear all the gory details!!!

Earth you live in the Northwest as I did, Bigfoot is everywhere up there, he is even bigger if you cross over into Canada.

I even went big foot hunting once. I never saw one though I spent a lot of time in the mountains hiking and camping, but when you go purposely hunting one all the familiar things of the forest become unfamiliar and he is watching you the whole time. lol

Check this out! There having Bigfoot Expeditions. They got one here in Ohio too, but it costs like $400 or something. A little more than I want to spend right now. Maybe in a few years though. I'd love to go on a Bigfoot search.

Correction! It's $400 per vehicle, not per person. That's not to bad if you got freinds that would want to go along.

Wouldnt it be a whole lot easier and lot less expensive if you just went camping somewhere and hunted for bigfoot then? I wouldnt spend 400, I would just go camping and find him then.

Heck no! I'd want to be around people who have done it before. But I bet even the pros would freak if they woke up to one standing over them.

I'm too cheap to cough up $400 anyway, but it did sound like fun.

There are few things that I'll believe without seeing myself. Usually I'll just believe in the possiblity, but with all the sightings of Bigfoot and similar creatures around the world, there has got to be something to it.

Yes, Dukie, that possibility is very wide open. Some says, there are dinousaurs in Antartica, I am not sure though, but what if some remote islands somewhere? Perhaps not a T-Rex or someting that huge.

Actually, there's a legend that there is a dinosaur in the deepest reachs of the Congo. I'll dig up the info today and post it in it's own thread. It's really rather interesting. (I *think* it's the Congo....it might be the Amazon...I'm really not awake yet. )

Have they caught one and are keeping it secret or not?

About a month ago, the Malaysian gov't approved funding to send a team in search of Bigfoot... a couple of weeks ago, rumors started to circulate that they caught one.... and now, the cover up and denial

Ok, true confession time. I have been very interested in this story - hoping Bigfoot will go from Cryptozoology to regular Zoology. Perhaps it's because I'm from Oklahoma and we've had credible sightings in all seventy-seven of our counties, but I still think Bigfoot/Sasquatch/Swamp Ape/Skunk Ape/Yeti/Himilayan Monster/or whatever you would like to call it is just one more animal we have yet to find without a shadow of a doubt. I do think they are more intelligent animals than your average woodland critter - and certainly more shy and rare.

Of course, I also personally know someone who used to wear a gorilla costume in northern California just to scare the tourists, so I will admit not every sighting is real

My question is, if the creature is mythical, and non existant, then why do we need laws to protect it, and prevent it from being captured? To my knowledge there are no such laws that protect dragons, gryphons, the phoenix, or orcs.

it could be true i saw a case like that in the show called Creep Canada.. even shows the guy that collects moldings of the giant footprints in the dirt of the woods ..but i still don't know really

Australia has one and we call our a YOWIE. It is the same type of creature that has long hair and has a bad odour that can be smelt from a distance. Over the years there have been various sightings all over the place in bushland and I have read somewhere on the net that there are even records of it been seen in early australian colonial days.
