anyone have any experience with writing that appears in mirrors?
I live in a new house in rural Missouri. Over New
Year's we stayed out of town and when we returned
noticed some kind of symbol had appeared in our
bathroom mirror. The writing is only visible when the
bathroom is steamed up. I have tried to remove it
with Windex without success. We really don't have any
explanation for it. The only strange thing that has
ever occurred in that room is that a motion-activated
night light goes on occasionally when noone is even in
the room.
If you have any advice or ideas on where I could submit it for
analysis, I'd appreciate it.

When you say steamed up, does it mean the writing is made once the mirror is steamed up? Or it is that the writing appears when it is steamed? Do you find the same writing everytime?

i've had writing show up on my bathroom mirror after i take a shower. but before it's always been written backwards and after i wipe it off, there are no signs of it left....

Sorry about that...I should have clarified. The writing is only visible when the mirror is steamed up (from the shower). If someone could tell me how to upload a picture of it, I would post it here.

And you're saying the symbols are the same each time? Located in the same place on the mirror?
Do me a favor...Can you take consecutive shots of the image, maybe 7 days in a row and post them here?
I think it is not uncommon for messages and images to appear in mirrors. Even bathroom mirrors..

Thanks for the information and the suggestions.
The script (or whatever you want to call it) doesn't change and is in the same location each time. I guess the spooky thing is that it just started appearing after we got back from New Years. I would think that if it was glue from the backside bleeding through (which is a possibility) that it would have always been that way rather than a new development. The house is almost a year old. Also, I checked mirrors in the other bathrooms, and this is the only one with anything like it. I'll have to do some asking around to find out if glue can bleed through a mirror...this appears to be the most plausable non-paranormal explanation.
I've spent a fair amount of time trying to figure out what (if any) message is written. There definitely appear to be english characters in it, but they appear to overlap too. Weird stuff.
If anyone has any other questions/suggestions, just let me know.

IF it is in the same location, and looks the same at ALL the times it appear, I would say it could be some scratch on the mirror itself, that becomes visible once it get steamed. I am not sure how it might have initially appeared, though.

My fiancee suggested that maybe it was something abrasive/cleaner that caused the pattern. She noticed that the pattern resembles the motion that a person would use to clean a mirror.
