YES!! ..

My sister was given a ring, and when she would take it off it would find its way back to its j box. every time, we took all her rings off, put them on the table, and locked the house and went out .. come back it was in the box ..

Her grandmother, told her to look after it!!..

Cheers

Judging from the amount of so-called "haunted" jewelry for sale on eBay, I'd say it's quite possible :) After my father died, his personal items kept appearing in all sorts of places, and no one would admit to moving them. I suppose it was his way saying, "I'm still here . . ."

This has even made its way into Hollywood. In the Sixth Sense, the (deceased) grandmother would move the butterfly pendant, but her grandson (Haley's character) would always get blamed.

I didn't lose my mind - I have it backed up on a disk ... somewhere

I think I agree with everything thats been said here, but let me throw a question the pot anyway.

Question: Why would a head stone have a presence in it if the spirit leaves the body well before it is buried? The spirit had never been there before so there could be no emotional attachment.

Don't get me wrong I've been to graveyards and think I've felt spirits, But really it doesn't seem to make sense why there would be any spirits in a graveyard unless someone actually died there.

The jewelry thing I can see, it was part of thier physical life.

Spirits that are at the graves, are the ones who choose to stay and guard them. They have no where else to go. My daughter has told me this, she has seen many spirits and communicated with them at the gravesites. If you think about it, we would have a huge party of spirits at the cemetarys, but we only see a few, if captured on film. Spirits have their own destinations by choice.

I think if a person wears an item constantly it has to pick up on some sort of energy from them - I had a lucky watch that I would always wear (until it broke!) and I'm sure that most people have some small item that they wear for good luck etc. that they wouldn't be parted with. If spirits can leave a residual 'imprint' upon a building why not a smaller more personal item like jewellery?

I once bought a pewter viking dragonboat pendant from a Victoriana sale, I bought it because I lived on Shetland and had become steeped in the viking mythology, plus it was really detailed and unusual. I wore it all the time even though it was cold and heavy (drawback of pewter jewellery). I kept it in a little wooden box and one day my younger sister stole it out of my room and opened the box to put the necklace on, as she touched the pendant her whole arm went numb from the hand to the shoulder! If I was being totally scientific about it I would have said static shock but I always receive shocks from metal objects and my sister never does.

Jewelry, or anything worn or handled constantly (such as a rosary) can and often does pick up a 'charge' of the person who wears it. There are also many tales of furniture and other mundane items being haunted. There is a tale of a miserable man who spent his life making fantastical carvings of animals. It is reported that everyone who bought one of these pieces had some dark misfortune befall them. The story I remember most is of a guy who had his friend hold his piece (a large giraffe) in the friend's garage. The friend kept calling the guy and telling him to get it out of there, it gave him the creeps. The guy with the garage ended up taking the 8-ft. tall giraffe out in his field and setting it on fire!

Same thing with James Dean's death car------many of the pieces found their way into other vehicles; and those drivers all died!

As far as spirits hanging out at the cemetary, sometimes people don't know that they are dead. They see their body, follow it to the cemetary, and oftentimes just stay put!
