If you ever want a good movie about voodoo (although not true) watch "The serpent and the rainbow". It's cool. Also "Skeleton Key".

Voodoo is a catholic witchcraft mix of African native origin. Wicca is a revival of ancient Celtic and Greek witchcraft and Pagan belief systems, started by the British civil servant Gerald Gardener. Voodoo has its roots in ancient tribal times, Wicca is only about 50 or 60 years old.

Voodoo dolls are similar yet VERY different, since they contain a part of a person and are used only in spellwork for or against that person.
I've never used them myself, being that I've never had a reason to perform a spell or ritual that uses them.
And for the record, one does not have to be Wiccan to use any particular kind of spell, ritual or to use any kind of item(s) for such.
