I have had a few readings, more hits than misses. One reading several years ago stands out. I was downsized from the company I worked for, and had not been working for about three months. I went to the Spiritualist camp not far from here for a reading. I was told that I would find work, and he saw me working at a job connected somehow to education. He didn't know what that meant, but I would be working, not a student, and it would be sooner than I though. Well, a few months later I found myself working as an administrative assistant at a local college. I didn't even realize it until the next spring when I saw Sy again. He asked me if his reading was right and it all connected.

I think that the way to tell if you are getting a bad reading is if they ask you a lot of questions - leading questions. If they just start to talk in a sort of stream of conciousness, then you feel pretty safe that they aren't frauds.

I think you hit on a valid point about them asking a lot of questions. You or I could give a reading if we asked enough of the right questions. Unfortunately, I usually don't know this is going to happen until they have my money. I've learned to seek out those who have been recommended, or someone I've been to before that I trust.

not to say many frauds exists, a good psychic is determined not by his questions, but by your expectations.i have been using my abilities for over thirty years, and am astounded by how many times i have to ask a question in order to understand what i'm rtrying to tell the client. most questions are for the benefit of the reader who doesn't understand what he/she is trying to convey to the client and needs something to makeit clearer so he can give the proper interpretation to what he is conveying. remember, a psychic can't just babble, he/she has to provide a meaning and not being able to do so makes the reader appear both incompetant and foolish. many people say they are disappointed because they didn't get what they expected, but the information is only valid at the time of the reading and can change just by the client not doing something, or doing something he should not have done. a single change can change the reading's results at any time. the reverse is also true. the better psychics are able to see some of these, but may not tell the client due to the fear of being overly confident in the readings. at other times the reader must say something in order to re-inforce the reading's importance. you may see some readers as good others as poor. but each may be only as good as his/her training in the field.

Have you ever had a psychic reading done? Was it a positive or negative experience. I've had quite a rew done, and there were more misses than hits. There was an older gentleman who lived near me that we used to go to on an almost regular basis. Rev. Miller had an amazing (and quite accurate) ability to pick up on our spirit guides. I haven't found anyone yet who comes close.

hello, I had a reading done by a local women about a year ago and she was very good, she did not ask leading questions and was very correct about my past. Iknow there is a lot of people out there that claim abilities, I guess I lucked out!

Most of the time I can't be read very well. I've been to some outstaning psychics, but I guess I have some sot of block. They can usually pick up on certain parts of my personality, and mood, but as for predicting the future....Nope. I just stopped going really. I figure that my path will unfold however it's supposed too. Since the predictions are subject to change anyhow, what's the point?

One thing that came true for both me and my wife..... Every psychic or spirit board or any thing else all predicted that our first child would be a girl. That, of course came to be. They all say we will have three children. Girl, boy, girl. One down, two to go. We shall see.

When my wife and I first met, we spent alot of time around that circle. The phsycics, and wiccans, and spiritualist. The Duchess herself used to be quite good at the Tarot. But in recent years we've fallen away from it. My focus turned to History and ghosts. The wifey just got too busy with other day to day things. I hope she gets back into it though because she really was very good.

I was once told by a psychic friend that I was a homesteader on the American Mid-Western frontier who died during childbirth (go figure) and that a particular spirit that was, shall we say, getting mighty protective of me in real life was, in fact, my husband from that time who had “found” me, again, and wanted me back.

This is, of course, a possibility. But, now that I know that that particular spirit that was hanging around me at the time (and, still does today) was most likely my uncle John...I am having doubts. But, this could explain certain things, including my seeming lack of maternal instincts towards human children. Or, that could just be due to certain things in my past, explainable through Freudian psychology and all of that.

I don’t feel a need to go to a psychic. I prefer to let the spirits come to me. And, I prefer the surprise of the future, not knowing it. Although, it would be nice to have something to hope for in the dark hours.

She knew minute details about my deceased mother, son, and grandmother, as well as names of great grandparents that I have never met. She validated in many ways that these folks were aware of what is going on in my life right now. It blew my mind! Her method and delivery was very much like I had seen on John Edward's "Crossing Over" TV show.

whoever you got your reading from had a rare gift, that of giving a reading over the phone. i have never tried, nor do i wish to, preferring to be in the same room. but thay is me and not lack of ability. as for john edwards tv show, to me that is all it is, a tv show. for others it may be proof, but as i said, that's me. i have had many readings from many different people, some good, others not. many things were true, many off the mark. like you, i prefer my own sources and they are both accurate, and specific to me and mine. many are long range and many are short and near term. one thing is sure though, don't assume you understand what you are told, it may have another meaning or purpose.

itr may be that you were someone who was on the frontier, i know i was, but i also was around many in this life to whom i was related then. that has little meaning for me since that was then this is now. it was an interesting note though. i haven't been to a reader in over fifteen years, mainly due to not having many in this area. i know where a few are, but cannot accept their ability since i know them from having read them. were i able to find a trustworthy one near here i would consider it but i get more for myself than i need, but it usually comes about as given. ther's an occasional error, but it usually winds up being my error in the intrerpretation of what i'm given. thatcan happen even to the best since no one is 100% accurate 100% of the time. but if you want something to think about in the wee hours, think about what comes next month, and see what you come up with. it can be an excellant exercise, especially in futility. i know, since that is what usually happens to me. i get a lesson in futlity.

i have had a few readings, some of the things have came true and some havent. i would say it was more misses than hits for me though. i have had a lot of "psychics" tell me things that have been rubbish. they told me certain things would happen and they havent which kind of puts me off going to get my tarot cards read.

Psychics have trouble reading for me, they say im too strong and i usually end the reading ...actually reading for them. Ive noticed psychics ive went to actually knew alot about my past, but as for the future nada! Maybe because our future changes so much.~Hlee

I have had alot of readings. I had a few readings only to find out that the readings were for the future. I mean future. I got a reading several years ago and remember what was said and everything seems to be unfolding now. One reading I got and I don't remember who but I remember what she said. It was about my brother and she asked if he had passed away yet. I said no. She said that he was really very tired and that my grandmother was waiting for him. My grandmother loved my brother so much. I was frightened by that. She said he would pass away very shortly. I did not think anything about it until after he died. I realized that a few months before a psychic had predicted my brothers death. I spoke to a psychic after his death (new one) and she said their was a man standing by me in a uniform and that he liked the tree that was planted for him. I nearly fell out of my chair. My brother was in the service and had alot of medals and my mother planted a tree for him after his death. I never said anything to her. I started to cry and she said that he says I should not cry for him because he was alright now. I would meet a man with certain characteristics and I did but these were years earlier predictions and I just met him now. Will he come back into my life I really will see. But the description of this man is errie to me since it was years before and at the time I knew no one that fit the description until now. Some are good and some you just can't deny that they are correct in everything they say especially when you never say a word to them about anything.

It's fun at times to know but you need to lead your life. Things can unfold naturally I've learned. After my brothers death I had a dream that on his death and leaving his body he woke up in a field of beautiful flowers and was like so stunned on where was he. My dream was so vivid and the next dream was where he walked in a room with my grandparents being young and all in the room welcomed him. I knew that my brother was alright

The one & only time that I have ever been "read" I was at a conference at a hotel in Dallas. I worked at Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas at the time & as being a supervisor I was required to go to this luncheon/conference. We were seated at very large round tables in this large ballroom. My sister in law (at the time) worked with me & she also was a supervisor. There were approximately 15 people seated at our table with only 3 or 4 chairs empty at the time. We were all sitting there talking & drinking tea when this lady that apparently was an aquaintance of a number of the ladies at the table, walks up & speaks to a couple of them. The only person that I knew at this event was my sister in law. After having a short conversation across the table with these 2 ladies she looked at me & asked me if she could talk to me. I said yes & she sat down. She proceeded to tell me that she was a person that could "read" people & she didn't want to offend me but she was told to come & "read" me. Needless to say I was VERY excited but I tried not to show it & I agreed to talk to her. She was almost 100% about the things that she told me. I have never had the experience of having another reading again, but, I think if I could find that woman...I would LOVE to hear what she has to say about the rest of my life. It was really something that I needed at that time in my life too & I have been forever thankful for her having the courage to come up to me & tell me the things that she did. This happened almost 20 years ago now. So I would have to say that my experience was WAYYYY pleasurable!!
