Just go ahead and type "Jacksonville haunting" into your search engine and you should be good to go!

I've also heard great things about St. Augustine, but I think you'll be waaaaayyyyy south of there..

Jacksonville has some pretty good places. I was there last Sept for a Quilt show the building it was held in was an old Railroad depot and I had a couple of spirits bugging me there. Course if your going to live in Jax's then you will have to go to Amelia Island which is North East of Jax's, there's alot of hauntings in that town. I was there before going to Jax's. Then if you want to adventure south of Jax closer to Orlando you need to make a stop in Debary to Cassadaga Spiritualist Camp http://www.cassadaga.org/
St. Augustine is just a few miles South of Jax it's said to be the oldest city in the US, it's been a while since I've been there. There's a old fort there and a cemetary that has Spanish soldiers buried there. Very active cemetary, lot of unrested spirits there.
Florida has a lot of good sites located in different areas. I'm near Orlando, where they don't like it advertised that there's any paranormal activity, guess Disney is afraid it might scary visitors off.

Florida is full of alleged hauntings! Check out some pages that list regional ghost hunting groups because most of them have fairly comprehensive lists. There were a lot of links from the TAPS site last time I checked. St. Augustine, as others users mentioned, is especially renowned for paranormal activity, and it's only about 40 miles from Jax. I've only been there once for an overnight trip... we went on the ghost tour, and it was cool, but I didn't see anything. Well done, though, and a good basis for the local haunts. A friend of mine met an unfriendly spirit in a hotel there. She was held down in bed and and choked, and when she went to check out right after that, the night clerk immediately knew why. I can't remember the name of the hotel though. Savannah is also amazing and about a 2 hour drive fom Jax. Honestly, both places are so beautiful and full of history, it's worth the trip even if you don't encounter anything ghostly at all. Here's what appears to be a decent list of hauntings throughout the state: FL hauntings

Happy Hunting!

There a lot of haunted cemetaries in and near Jacksonville! visit this website www.floridaghost.com. the founder of the site is from Jacksonville and a lot of people on the site are paranormal investigators and they have outings where they visit haunted places in FL as group and other people on the site are invited too, I know they have mentioned a lot of places in and around Jacksonville because that is where a majority of the people on that site are from! good luck:) Im from Tampa.

I don't have information on Jacksonville, but St. Augustine is very close and loaded with ghosts (and several ghost tours). I stayed in the St. Frances Inn while I was doing research for my new book, Ghosthunters and stayed in the room haunted by Miss Lily. A psyhic friend of mine visited my room and said she could feel that Miss Liliy was present. The ghost also whispered in my ear on the morning I was checking out; I write about her and the ghost of the Spanish soldier at the inn in my new book.

St. Augustine also has haunted cemeteries, the haunted St. Augustine lighthouse, and the Castillo de San Marcos, the haunted Spanish fort, among other places. Good hunting!

Eh, be spontaneous. It's more fun that way. When you've found a haunting location, you'll know it. Usually when you go somewhere that's supposedly haunted, you leave disappointed. I'm from Tampa and this town is full of a lot of lost souls, that's for sure.
The only difference between me and a madman is that I'm not mad.
