Hello. I have a question. My four year old can see spirits. Her father also posesses this gift. I can sense the presence of spirits however I don't have the ability to physically see them. My daughter is very sensitive to the dark. I don't believe that she is afraid of the dark, I believe that it is what she able to see in the dark is what she is sensitive to. I would like to know as her mother what exactly does she need from me. Lights our left on regularly in our house. At nighttime she starts to act different. Short of me purchasing night lights what else does she need from me? Thank you in advance for any advice

That's lovely about your daughter. Most children can see spirits because they are born with their third eyes open and they stay open until about the age of 7. There are as many spirits around in the daytime as at night, but there are fewer distractions around at night, so she's probably overwhelmed by the number. You should leave a nightlight on in her room and be sure to reassure her that she has nothing to fear, because she doesn't. Spirits are not harmful. Just keep her talking about what she sees. That way she is more likely to keep that third eye open and that is a marvelous thing.

My 4 year old son is the same exact way. He sees what he calls "pink monsters (good)" and "green monsters (bad)"...I think what he's seeing is auric fields associated with spirits. We've walked into a room to find him looking up at the ceiling carrying on a full conversation with someone we can't see, and when we asked who he was talking to he nonchalantly says "great mom-mom" and walked off. It was her bedroom he was in, while we were cleaning out her home after she passed.

that is lovely about your daughter - i used to see a lot of things in my room when i was about that age. my mom says i used to scare her stiff!! but i was never scared of what i saw.
i would listen to your daughter if she tells you something and also tell her that there is nothing to be scared of.
i had an imaginary friend so dont be to suprised if she starts talking about a new "friend".
i just think this is a wonderful thing, if i ever have children and they see things i would definitely encourage it

I have heard my two year old in his room at night before bed and again when he wakes up talking to "someone." Sometimes in the morning the first thing out of his mouth is a loud "NO!" I imagine that whatever is waking him up is not a person he wants around first thing in the morning.
