And honestly, in my own opinion, based on everything I have ever read or been told regarding mediumship, if a medium knows what they are doing, they can indeed prevent any spirit, good or bad, from taking them over if they so choose.
So I really fail to see how these points mark David, or any other medium who matches them, as somehow less genuine. And frankly, he's a thousand times less annoying than Derek's constant 'possessions', which at times went flying directly into the realm of the absurd.

David Wells can see what the public dont like about Derek i.e hamming it up, and rectify that by not hamming it up in his act, sorry mediumship. The result the viewers find him more believable. Simple really.
Both are entertainers i'll just enjoy the show for that.

What I said was my opinion, And know matter how good a medium anyone is if there is a spirit determined enough to enter someone's aura they're going to put up a fight, and that's bound to zap anyones energy. All David Wells does is have a little whine about how he is'nt going to let this evil horrible presence in, which last about 5 seconds then he says that the spirit understsands him and won't bother him again. BULLBAD_WORD either he's bigging the spirit up. pretending its more harmful than it really is or he's just putting it on. Like I said, my opinion, heaps of people in this thread seem to like David better so theres nothing to get upset about

Well said Vamp!
I agree totally with you! Can you believe it!?! LOL I think David's geniuness has come across since the very first show he was presented in.
Dark Spirit I don't understand what you are saying in your comment about him "bigging" the spirit up? What do you mean by that?

Deep breath.
I was not upset, just did not agree with your assessment, nor with what you backed up your assessment with.
Besides, in all the time I have watched Most Haunted, and that's from Show Number 1, David does not do as you describe...'whine'...every single episode about some "evil horrible presence". Derek, however, sensed an evil entity constantly towards the end, usually associated with 'the black arts' (which drove me up the wall)
And since this is a discussion forum, you have to expect a mild challenge now and again, or someone who disagrees with you stating that they do and why.
