First, let me apologize for the pun in the title of this thread but I couldn't resist!

Since I was the one who started the Halloween decorations thread last year, I felt it was my duty to kick things off this year. Here's a shot of my decorations in the day time--




Since you can't see these guys from the street level photo, I thought I'd give them their own close-up!

This is a pic of the three skeleton figures hanging in my front window. They don't show up real well during the day but the blue lightbulb gives them a nice eerie glow at night.




The skull lights on the railing actually change color in varying speeds, from slow-blinking to a rapid running from light to light. I got them at Spencer's if anyone's interested; the rest of the stuff I got at either Oriental Trading Co. or Wal-Mart.

This was my weekend project. Now that the web is together, I need to work on a spider. I have a small skeleton that I want to attach to it, and I was thinking of a blue flood light. I have some more shopping to do this weekend. The kids in the neighbourhood were quite excited by it.

Love the spider's web, Justa! Maybe if you put a skeleton on it, you take some that fluffy, artifical web and wrap some of that around him so he looks like the spider's coccooned him.

The web took me a couple of hours to make. The longest part was zap strapping the rope each place where it crosses over the other one.

I'll try to take another picture once I get the spider made, and the skeleton attached, which I am going to try Ambra's suggestion about wrapping it in web first.

batterie tealite inside a little pumpkin i only had three pumpkins and four tealites.

Ah, how nice to be in the company of other 'Halloween fiends'!

I went all out last year and made my backyard into a graveyard, complete with a 'haunted shed' and 'Madame Zelda the Fortuneteller'. We get so many trick-or-treaters in my neighborhood, and we had so much fun! And because I'm a total geek freak, I put together a slideshow, complete with music, and put it up on my website. This coming weekend is completely devoted to doing it again, with even more spooky stuff!

Here is the spider in the web. I originally went with blue eyes, because the whole area will be lit by blue floodlights, however, they didn't look right, so I changed them to red and menacing






The eyes in the second pic are just paintbrushed, but as of tonight they are good to go. Now I just hope the rain holds off because it's not waterproof and by the end of the night, it will weigh too much for the web
