I have never even touched a tarot deck.  My mother made me promise when I was little to never touch one.  She said something happened when she did and she found out something that I was never to find out.

See, it's creepy things like that  that just end up sparking my interest all the more. I take it you never found out then what it was she discovered?

Maybe she saw something that she didn't like ???  Whatever it could have been, it obviously shook her up enough to have you make that promise.  Whenever I read my cards (I also have a deck of fortune cards), I set my environment up in a positive way.  I got one of those fountain things for the table, and I'm going to try that as well as white candles.  So far I haven't had any bad vibes from my cards or anything.

I am not sure what shook her up so. . . but out of respect for her, I will never touch a deck.

I have been meaning to do this, BTW, but the fact that my computer is at work and my tarot cards are usually at home makes it easy for my shyness to win out...Just didn't want you to think I was ignoring you...

yeah..logically, seriously, the Tarot cards are not something I count on as being an accurate tool of divination-if ANY of them are truly accurate-fun yes.

No I didn't think that because we just got our power back on last night after a couple days. We had a freak storm that knocked out half the county. So didn't see your post til now.

I was surprised not to see more responses here.  I'm into Tarot, and own over 50 decks (blush) and think it's fascinating.  I personally read intuitively, and don't pay much attention to traditional meanings, although I feel guided lately to study a bit more.

In fact, the last reading I did (online for a friend) turned into a channeling.  I say you can absolutely communicate with spirit/s via this method.

I loved reading all the posts and opinions here.

Well, you are channeling if you are using your intuition when you do a reading with tarot. I've channeled many times when I've done tarot readings.

I guess what I mean to say is, the reading took off and took much less ...effort? than I'd ever experienced with tarot.  And was deadly accurate.

I have always wanted a tarot reading done on me by someone who knew what they were doing. I had one done one time at a psychic fair and the lady had no idea what she was talking about. she started talking about my kids and I was like 16, and i am 24 now and still have no kids.. lol  so she just made $5 off me. I tried once, my sister had a deck and the book that went with them, to do one on myself but i didnt understand what the book was telling me that the cards meant. i got confused.. LOL
