Does anyone know the location of the Old Slave Mansion in Seattle? I've never heard of this place before, and now it is showing up on the many lists of haunted locations. The story is that a gate surrounds the mansion, and if you step one foot into the gate you have to fully enter and walk past a forest that is on a huge hill. At the top of the hill is a wishing rock that makes wishes true and if you don't you will have bad luck forever. Many have said that they have seen ghosts there and one report of someone being pushed out of the window of the second floor by the ghost of an old woman (the girl survived with minor injuries).
It appears to be an urban legend that's gained momentum on the Internet. Every reference I've found takes me back to the same vaguely worded story:
Seattle - old slave mansion - there is a gate that goes around this mansion and it is said that if you step one foot into the gate you have to fully enter and walk past a forest that is on a huge hill and at the top of the hill is a wishing rock that makes wishes true and if you don't you will have bad luck forever. But the mansion presuming haunted by the past slaves and many have said that they have seen ghosts there and one friend has said that there cousin has been in that building and a ghost of an old woman has pushed her out the window of the second floor fortunately the girl did survive with minor injuries.
No address is ever mentioned other than that's it's in Seattle. Also, the originator must have forgotten that Washington State, being a western territory, did not permit slavery
