which was only "discovered" in 1901, if you've never seen one in the zoo, its about the size of a zebra, now how was that missed for so long?

well, it was missed because it wasn't at where it was! IT is almost the same way that the existing, known science finds it hard to explain the para normal phenomenon. Once it is tried to be explained getting into the limits of where it is, it will be explained too!
