Article

Two Bigfoot hunters claim they have the body of one and plan to release a photo and what they claim is DNA evidence at a news conference in Palo Alto on Friday.

The Bigfoot is claimed to have been found in the woods of northern Georgia by Matthew Whitton and Rick Dyer, and the claim is being supported by a Bay Area Bigfoot researcher Tom Biscardi, a multiple local Democratic candidate.

The press release as follows. A site claiming to have the first pics is down, but here’s the link in case it comes back up, although the pic top right is said to be one of the shots currently available. Other sites are suggesting this could be the “real deal;” who knows, we’ll have to wait for the press conference and the proof.

Well, I wish this is true, but an alive creature would have been better! But does it giveshumans the right to have a Bigfoot hunting season and end up messing up?

If it turns out to be a hoax, they are going to set cryptozoology back even further - and there's no reason for that.

Now if it turns out to be true - well - then it's a whole new ballgame. Will hopefully open up some people's minds.

The images of the suspected "Bigfoot" on the web page could turn out to be like this individual below.

An extreme and famous case of Hypertrichosis.

click photo to link to web page.

It is suspected to be a genetic disorder that is inherited.

If there were multiple sitings, these individuals could be closely related and unwilling to integrate with society.

I do believe there is something behind bigfoot sightings, I also suspect that the answer may be this simple.

Time exists so everything doesn't happen at once.Space exists so everything doesn't happen to you.*

Be happy while you're living, for you're a long time dead.*-- Scottish Proverb

Thats a good point Moon...if this is indeed a "Bigfoot" and not just a human with the disorder Hypertrichosis that was mentioned in a previous post by Atropa belladonna...theres a real threat that some individuals might try to hunt and possibly kill any exsisting ones that might be out there. I do think the majority of Crypto enthusiast will try to capture rather than kill...if this is true evidence it will be a huge breakthrough for people that have studied it/devoted their lives to it for so many years.

Yikes, five hundred pounds! Thanks for the update Moon!

I guess we'll see, but don't hold your breath. When I saw who the researcher was I had secomd thoughts. This guy is a Vegas promoter who has, for a fee, organized various Bigfoot searches. He usually has many "close" encounters but in the past has never followed up with hard evidence. We'll have to see, but I would be skeptical of any DNA analysis done by someone who does not provide specimens for independent analysis, especially considering the background here. Just my two cents worth....

I've been following this on Cryptomundo (which is currently down, may have too many hits because of this).

First off, the two 'gentlemen' (and I use that term very loosely) claim to have found the already dead body and seen several other bigfoots in the vicinity. It apparently took them a couple of days to drag the body out of the woods.

They have a YouTube page, which I will not link to because of their immature and childish behaviour and language that they have used. They constantly attacked several reputable cryptozoologists in these videos.

I myself am very iffy about this. It doesn't look right to me in that picture, and Loren Coleman is hinting (he was yesterday when he was granted permission to post the image) along the lines of a primate rather than a classical Bigfoot and is calling it the Georgia Gorilla.

From reading some of the posts here and looking at the 'bigfoot' pic. I think we're setting ourselves up for a put on. I guess we'll find out during the press conference eh?
(this might even be a promo for some kind of movie or TV show or something).

I wish I could say that Bigfoot has really been found, but the reports from this forum are making me think that this is just another hoax. I guess we'll find out tomorrow at the press conference in California:

I think they captured it. I seen it all over the local news here in Cleveland. They will be doing some dna testing and I would think to believe that the men involved in the finding has alot to ride on here. Their dignity and respect will be shattered if it is a hoax. I have always believed that there is somekind of supernatual entity out there that is way beyond our intelligent thinking. This stinking furry man-ape creature is one of them. And also the beer vendors at a Cleveland Indians ball game!! Lol! Dave

I believe in the possibility of a creature like that, and I believe there is a small possibility that this is the real deal. I don't see why these men would lie about this. They're even holding a press conference and allowing DNA testing! (which I'm sure will come back as inconclusive) But I hope this is the real deal... this would be one of the most amazing finds ever if it were proven genuine.
But, I don't have my hopes up... as I'm sure it will turn out to be a hoax. I find it hard to believe that they saw multiple "bigfoot" creature in the area around the body... and I think I read in one article that they had video proof of it... its all hard to believe. Time will tell I suppose...

Oh, and I always figured that if bigfoot was to ever be found, this is how it would happen!
