That's interesting, the religious stand point theory...being raised *strict* Catholic it always puzzled me why my mother let me see it at such a young age. If she was trying to teach me something it was highly effective.

I'm not a huge fan of the Exorcist but I've seen it many many times. I saw the 25th aniversary one at the theater...yeah...that crab crawl was pretty freaky.

I also am not a huge fan of The Exorcist. It was unnerving at times, but it didn't really scare me. Although yeah, the crab crawl was pretty creepy.

The only movie that ever gave me long-lasting heebie-jeebies was Silence of the Lambs. Not exactly sure why it was that movie in particular, as opposed to all the other scary movies I've seen.

I haven't seen it but I heard a movie review over the radio and the reviewer said that this re-make isn't too good. He found some of the scenes too graphic and even repulsing. There's always nothing like the original, I guess.
The story premise sounds good though.
